Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Covers for my LP album style Skyward Sword edit, based off of the Indy series LP/CD covers: Cerebral Cortex 1
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 LOTR covers done in the style of the Hobbit Deluxe editions: Cerebral Cortex 1
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Crap.Where is the "The" before "Lord"?Fixed now?
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 What happened, is that I used a font creator program to scan in images of the various versions of the main titles (the in film versions and the main trilogy versions etc.) and with all the business of removing the Hobbit Logo, changing the color, re-adding the top and bottom text, and adding the individual film titles, I forgot to add the THE!
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Cover for AUJ to match the LOTR Archival Edits:
fommes 165 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I've probably asked this before, but what (free) programmes would you recommend for making custom artwork?
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Photoshop (Not free)GIMP (Free, though it runs slow sometimes)I cannot think of any others. fommes 1
A. A. Ron 2,485 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 And how does everyone go about printing custom covers and or inlays? Is there a cheap, but high quality way to go?
Popular Post Laserschwert 676 Posted January 30, 2014 Popular Post Posted January 30, 2014 And now all of them (click them for full-size versions): A. A. Ron, Cerebral Cortex, StarFox and 1 other 3 1
Jay 46,244 Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Two things to point out: 1. The covers for 1-6, 9-10 have "Special Limited Edition" on the left and "Complete Motion Picture Score" on the right, while 7-8 have that reversed 2. All covers mention that they are limited, however scores 2-6 are NOT limited*, only 1,7-10 are limited They all look great though *The original LLL version of 5 was limited, but the current pressing of 5 on Intrada is not.
Laserschwert 676 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 1. The covers for 1-6, 9-10 have "Special Limited Edition" on the left and "Complete Motion Picture Score" on the right, while 7-8 have that reversedIt's not like I did that by accident though As you can clearly see, the artworks demand the switches for these, as the compositions are now perfectly balanced without the artwork overlapping the text. Even more: An element of each artwork is now positioned right between the two pieces of text on each cover (Khan's head, the Enterprise's engine, the Klingon forehead wrinkle, Kirk's forehead, the Borg queen, that swoosh arc, Shinzon's head) - well, except for I, IV and V, as those use symmetric artworks. As for the "limited" thing... ah well, I like them more in line with each other.
Trent B 354 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Those are very nice covers. I still like the one I did for Nemesis, it was a pain in the ass to blend the two images like that. Also like the one I did for Trek 09. OneBuckFilms 1
Turbo 81 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 JanBing, thank you. Those covers are absolutely fantastic.
BloodBoal 8,711 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 A The Rocketeer custom cover I quickly put together:
Jonesy 55 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Recently, I did two covers for Tomorrow Never Dies.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 A Hobbit trilogy cover using the dust jacket of the first edition of the book:It is definitely not perfect.
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 DOS cover using the EE cover: heidl 1
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 AUJ cover using the EE cover:Version with "Orchestrated and Conducted": Cerebral Cortex and heidl 2
Trent B 354 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Here's some custom artwork I did for the Deluxe Edition of Star Trek 2009.I didn't realize until the next day that I typoed a word on the back and forgot to highlight a letter for a track (You Snowin', Me?) in blue.Booklethttp://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y60/BigT1981/Booklet.jpgInside Back Trayhttp://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y60/BigT1981/BackTrayInside.jpgBack Trayhttp://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y60/BigT1981/BackTray.jpgHere's a link to the full high res version.https://mega.co.nz/#!3UEWhBbC!HmB_tqgKp869naQAIO1Tq51_greKmoCqVMTyMmbldAw
Laserschwert 676 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Does anyone here still have the Batman TAS covers I did a while ago? My HDD crashed and the download links on the last page seem to be dead.
Jay 46,244 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Any chance anyone saved these? They were really good!
heidl 491 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 No unfortunately not, but I really would have liked to see them as well.Anyhow, here's something I made.I love creating these 3D mockups, you can be so creative with full CD or Vinyl sets. I sometimes only would wish, somebody would print, fold and glue them together for real... Not Mr. Big 1
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 My custom cover for my edit of Extended Version of The Battle of the Five Armies: Cerebral Cortex 1
Popular Post heidl 491 Posted December 17, 2015 Popular Post Posted December 17, 2015 With The Force Awakens owning the entire universe right now, I thought I'd hop the hype-train.TFA soundtrack custom coversA few previews: Cerebral Cortex, The Illustrious Jerry and Incanus 3
1977 2,134 Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 Wow, can't believe it's been more than a year since someone posted some nice custom cover art for us to drool over. Anyone?
heidl 491 Posted January 19, 2017 Posted January 19, 2017 I find the lack of faith in custom covers here disturbing.
Pieter Boelen 1,032 Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Did anyone ever make custom covers for all existing Star Wars soundtracks in the same style? Including Rogue One and assorted games and such? Or how about covers for the new Star Trek films that fit with the soundtracks that have been released these past years?
Popular Post heidl 491 Posted January 20, 2017 Popular Post Posted January 20, 2017 ***EDIT*** BloodBoal you beat me to it ************ Here's Star Wars. Game covers btw are a bit tricky since their styles and designs are all over the place. Which makes it hard to come up with a uniform covers series that fits everything. Pieter Boelen, Cerebral Cortex and John 2 1
Cerebral Cortex 3,365 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Tried to create an alternate cover for The Last Jedi (edited below to include Fal's suggestion):
Rachael Foley 10,162 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 Probably should change the text from Gold to Black IMHO (or some other darker color)
Cerebral Cortex 3,365 Posted November 8, 2017 Posted November 8, 2017 I initially had it as a dark grey like in the posters, but that just seemed a little drab. But I think you're right. The yellow is a bit incongruous. Thanks for the input. Edit: Yeah, that does look better. Thanks, bud.
1977 2,134 Posted December 5, 2017 Posted December 5, 2017 Come on, JWfans, where are the Last Jedi custom covers???
Popular Post heidl 491 Posted December 10, 2017 Popular Post Posted December 10, 2017 My first one: Cerebral Cortex, Justanothercrow421, The Illustrious Jerry and 4 others 5 2
Jay 46,244 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Interesting, basically the Japanese OST cover with Rey and Luke swapped https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B077X6FNHH/
Justanothercrow421 127 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Made a slight edit in the "RS" portion to fill in some empty space. This is based on the 2015 Target alt. cover for TFA. 1977 and The Illustrious Jerry 1 1
heidl 491 Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 This is really cool, but it's also really pixelated. Especially in and around the red outline of the SW logo. What happened?
