BurgaFlippinMan 7 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hey, that school orchestra playing BotH isnt half bad at all! Sure they sound a bit rough at parts but at least they got the tempo pretty right! Bravo!
nightscape94 968 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Holy shit, that was a high school orchestra? The light saber at the end was especially nice!Tim
KingPin 247 Posted July 3, 2006 Author Posted July 3, 2006 And you thought you'd seen it all....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZYfSh4_FiY
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I think that LEGO thing has been posted here at least twice. before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VCWJVvE0FkEnjoy!(If this has already been posted - sorry!)That's a pretty cool way to perform, actually. But why is there a Jango Fett between all OT characters?
Jacck 23 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 lmao! What is that conductor doing though!? And it's kinda a puny orchestra
JMan 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hey it was great, but still way too fast. They were making it too hard for themselves.
GoodMusician 66 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 I felt it was a bit fast but the fact that they ..did it...a High School ochestra...at THAT speed...and pulled it off... definately means something lol
tony69 0 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Hey, that school orchestra playing BotH isnt half bad at all! Sure they sound a bit rough at parts but at least they got the tempo pretty right! Bravo!well BoTH isnt a hard piece. its actually very easy; look at the score. the only hard part is the hard rhythm parts in the middle, and the high trumpet parts. the star wars main title on the other hand is MUCHHHHH harder. much more technically demanding.
GoodMusician 66 Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 as true as that is, I've heard COLLEGE orchestras that couldn't pull this off.I mean, the horns didn't split... they were able to get out that rythm and at that speed. The violas were loud and you could hear them and it didn't sound like crap...The balance was a little wonky, but it may even just be how it was recorded... Still good video hehe!

Eric_JWFAN 13 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 A few days ago I posted about a transcription of the Hook track 2 piano intro. I decided to record myself playing it so you can see if it's something you'd like to have.

Oviousaly the quality is lacking, but I assure, on the big screen, it also looks fantastic.http://youtube.com/watch?v=CZNm2qSukrc&sea...ne%20man%20band

Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 Second one is pretty funny. The first one appears to be an exercise in excessive redundancy.

Maybe the geekiest thing I've ever seen, and I'm a Star Wars fan!It was definitely the geekiest thing I've ever seen. All the geeks sat orchestra level with their lightsabres and costumes. My love for Star Wars doesn't extend nearly that far, but the show itself was absolutely hysterical!"That was my last line in the trilogy. I'll never work in film again!!!" 8O
