Plus, considering how Disney and Marvel are snatching up dates for all their movies, its probably smart to have these dates ready and change them down the road if necessary.

By saying they're planning to do 2 more films, they basically "announced" that the rebooted franchise will have 4 films in total (well, at least, for the moment). That's what richuck meant when he said "announcing 4 films". You're just playing with words!

So I don't get what's ambitious about it.Well, it kind of is a big deal, if you realize that the second film isn't even out yet (so they don't even know if it will do well at the box-office. Who knows? It might just bomb, big time!). But I guess in this day and age, it has become normal to announce sequels to sequels that haven't even been released...More than just announce sequels if Disney's "Planes: Fire & Rescue" is any indication. Planes isn't even out yet, and Disney already has a title (one which implies they already have a story / script for the sequel), a release date, AND a poster. It's ridiculous. Planes doesn't even look that good, it's a bad idea, and they're just piggy backing onto an already bad idea. *sigh*

That doesn't make sense - Webb was so happy about the score and how it brought elements of the big classic superhero sound a hummable theme. Maybe Horner didn't want to work on a sequel?Has there ever been a more jarring change in a sequel like this? I know that Mission: Impossible series did that, but those are separate movies.Karol
