While examining his newfound relic our hero has a flashback from the times that he was still Young Indiana Jones.

Posted

But his flashback is brutally interrupted by a fierce villain.

I'll eat your heart, Mr. Jones.

Suddenly, Indy's opponent is frightened with terror.

Get lost, Bale. I'll handle this!

I'll say again...

This is Indiana Jones!

Yep.

Oh, wait a minute, isn't him Han Solo? ;)

Here's the unspoiled Director's Cut with an all new ending.

Now here's the new Indy. And look, he's coming on his horse! What a hero, guys!

cinereignoffire8.jpg

Let's zoom in on him, shall we?

cinereignoffire11.jpg

You have to picture this with the Raiders march.

Closer, closer and ... closer. By now the music of Williams is almost cheering! Hooray goes the woodwinds! Bravo goes the brass!

By God, is it Harrison Ford returning from his quest for the Holy Grail?

This is getting out of control...

Why don't you Alex do something like "The Official Viggo Mortensen fan thread"? Are you scared nobody answer to it?

Posted

Alex, that is hysterical! Great job!

In the meantime, here is a recent picture of Harrison.

Yes, he do!

You know Stefan, this is kinda funny!

(oh at least for me and you)

Me either... and I would have no problem with the Indy movie franchise starting up again without Ford. Indy has already been played by five different actors.

WTF?!?

Who are they?

(please Stefan don't answer:

1-Harrison Ford

2-Harrison Ford

3-Harrison Ford

4-Harrison Ford

5-Harrison Ford)

I know why it's funny to me, but why to you?

To me it's funny 'cause Alex seems to be the only one to want Viggo-fuckin'-Mortensen as the new Indy!

Aslo, it's funny on how he put a Mortensen pic and say "this look like Indy" and you answer with another Ford pic and say the same thing!

Cool

oh...I don't know how people will react to this but...uhm...I never watched a Young Indy movie...I don't know why, but somehow I don't like them.

One reason could be because they haven't JW's music!

Posted

Yes they will. But I have 1 Young Indy movie, the one that comes with the VHS Trilogy...was it in 1998 or 1999?

First, if you haven't watched any, how do you know you don't like them?

And second, JW's music was featured in at least one episode. It's in Mystery of the Blues. (It's rearranged music from Raiders, I believe.) That one also features the original Dr. Jones himself, Harrison Ford.

Was the Raiders March adapted by Joel McNeely for the TV series, or is there just a poor imitation of it? (John Williams' themes were not utilized for the Ewoks cartoon series, for example; the Main Title sequence is underscored by stock adventure music. I think. It's been a while.)

I always imagined Ford would age well. I guess I was wrong.

Posted

You're judging Harrison Ford's ability to reprise his famous role based on one (bad) photo? I ran a quick Google search, and Ford looks much healthier in most recent pictures.

* Not directed at Alex specifically, just the naysayers in general.

Well,he still has his hair, and looks trim.He looks like he spent too much time in the sun without sunscreen, but thay can put makeup.

You mean regularly? No, I think JW's music was just used that once. Laurence Rosenthal wrote a theme for the series that he sometimes incorperated into his score, but (as far as I know) McNeely never used it. As for the episode(s) with Williams' music, I'm pretty sure McNeely adapted it, but there's a chance it may have been tracked. I've only seen it once, so I'm not positive.

And for Ewoks, it had a theme song just like Droids. In fact, I think it had two themes (because they changed it after one or two seasons).

Is there any possibly way to bring back the 1980's Harrison Ford?

Surely they could clone the guy or something? WE need this guy back now because today's action movie stars suck.

I found the Young Indy series to be surprisingly watchable. I liked the one with Paul Freeman especialy.

I find the Indiana Jones world to be very strange. The movie I think are all fantastic, but I find some other Indy related stuff, especialy the computor games, to have a great element not in the movies. Just because a game has hundreds of hours in it and doesn't worry about sets and ect., the world is much deeper, and much more reveling in the Indy adventures than the movies could. I've only really played the Fate of Atlantis, but that's a really great game, and it really made me love Indy in a whole new way.

Posted

Stefan and Alex, where did you find those awesome Indy pics? Could you pm me some more? I can use well them for my own Indy art.

Give him a hat and this man would be a great Indy!

Seriously it would work fine with Harrison Ford, they can inject a few age jokes in the script like they did with Captain Kirk in Star Trek 2.Maabe the movie could start he's retired and curator of the Museum, then some unforceen event brings him back into action to save the world.

K.M.

This sounds like the best option to me. If not, maybe Harrison Ford could do it? :music:
