ChrisAfonso 237 Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Hello!Sorry if that's been posted before, but here LINK DELETED BY MODERATOR you'll find a lot of information, pics and interviews with Johnny Williams about scoring Revenge of the Sith!Best RegardsMarkuzHey, what's that? Why's the link gone?
jamesie 1 Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 I just watched the trailer... And I think, simplistic though the theme (BotH) is, it'll be cool to listen to on the soundtrack. And it will go along well with Duel of the Fates, if it does.
King Mark 3,975 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I just watched the trailer... And I think, simplistic though the theme (BotH) is.We haven't heard all of it,only what appears to be the "main statement" of it,like the "A" section of the Raider's March.I'm sure it goes through a few permutations and briding themes througout the concert track.K.M.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Really epic stuff! I like it! Very wagnerian and full-blownnow if you say this with a really shirley temple voice, you will understand how absolutely absurd what you said is.next someone will be saying from a mere 30 seconds or so, This is the best John Williams score ever, really epic.
bondo 33 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Is anyone here an actual subscriber to Hyperspace? I expect a description of this track ASAP - details! Knee-jerk reactions!
Jeshopk 8 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Hey guys, I can't tell you how I got a hold of this...but I think you'll be pleased. I can only keep this on my server a short time.No presenting Anakin's Dream from the unreleased soundtrack to Revenge of the Sith!!!!LINK DELETED BY MODERATOR - DO NOT POST LINKS TO MP3 FILES THAT ARE NOT YOUR OWN CREATIONESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE FAKE
bondo 33 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Wow, definitely a departure from Williams' normal style! (and is that him doing the lyrics??)It'll be interesting to see what happens in this 'dream'.....
Sandor 918 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Over at the www.millenniumfalcon.com Ternian (a highly reliable source) stated that Battle Of The Heroes also contains THE duel music from ROTJ (you know; when Luke attacks Vader for one last time). Can anyone confirm this?
Markuz 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Hello!Ok, sorry for posting a direct link and confusion about it! But you can simply find the lengthly notes about the ROTS scoring on star wars.com. Just look for "The Final Chapters" pdf file. It was advertised somewhere in the later news or so!Best RegardsMarkuz
King Mark 3,975 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Are the preview clips on Hyperspace yet?K.M.

It was simply my opinion based on the snippet I've heard.
Mr. Breathmask 624 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 It was a direct link to a file.NeilThen this is okay, right?
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Cant really make any judgement from these clips.
Jacck 23 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Are the preview clips on Hyperspace yet?K.M.No. I think they'll probably appear in around 5 or so hours time...

LINK DELETED BY MODERATOR - DO NOT POST LINKS TO MP3 FILES THAT ARE NOT YOUR OWN CREATION ESPECIALLY IF THEY ARE FAKEOH! Too cruel, Neil! It was "keep on a rockin me baby" by the steve miller band. My wife suggested it and I couldn't resist. I thought april fools was a day where pranks were expected, but april 3rd was the true day to attack!Besides, I said "No Presenting Anakin's Dream". Which was actually a typo, but was true. There is no presenting of it!
Simon R. 10 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 I can't believe I am reading this. On the other hand, it has happened before...You guys are already kinda judging the whole score or certainly the whole theme, from a short excerpt, covered in sound effects, trashed by bad sound encoding and what not. Oh well, nothing changes it seems...

Bowie 48 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 The BotH theme is growing on me heaps. It's so early Romantic... it's almost as if Johnny's progressing the SW saga's concert tracks through a musical history:Duel of the Fates = barbaricAnakin's Theme = quasi-classicalAcross the Stars = classical/early Romantic (Schubert-esque?)Battle of the Heroes = early-mid RomanticLuke's Theme/most of OT score = typical Romantic leitmotif, WagnerDune Sea = early 20thC StravinskyImperial March = ? (back to barbaric I spose, 20thC Shostakovichy though?)Forest Battle = early 20thC Prokofiev

hunky_artist 0 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 just like the "I have a bd feeling about this" tradition.... I think Lucas has a 'flipped shot' tradition of his own. (can't remember all examples... im not that much of a geek...welll maybe... but I cant remember them anyway, lol) I'm sure there are in each film though (I remember artoo being flipped)
ChrisAfonso 237 Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Speakingof which, the famous line gestesaid at least twice in this film according to the script, once by a battle droid...
