fommes 165 Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 That's the one from the Tomorrow Never Dies Videogame music...
QMM 4 Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 Its being setup by Tommy Tollarico I think.Tommy's not that good of a composer, only thing I really like from him was War of the Monsters
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Its being setup by Tommy Tollarico I think.Tommy's not that good of a composer, only thing I really like from him was War of the MonstersHe was alot better back in the day. Nowadays hes pretty humdrum and undistinguished.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 I haven't heard much about that upcoming concert lately. I hope its still on.
QMM 4 Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 It was supposed to be last year but they postponed it
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 15, 2004 Posted January 15, 2004 It was supposed to be last year but they postponed itYeah I know, but I still have not heard much since it got pushed back. I hope the project was not scrapped completely. That would be a truly massive downer after all the build up. I would be very discouraged myself if that happened.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 17, 2004 Posted January 17, 2004 we'll all beI think Stefan will manage just fine!
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,386 Posted January 17, 2004 Author Posted January 17, 2004 Yes so far i'm coping with it, off course life would never be completely the same...
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Yes so far i'm coping with it, off course life would never be completely the same...Geee I could only imagine the dire straights you would be in if something tragic were to occur with Mr. Giacchino. Stefan on suicide watch!
QMM 4 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Apart from slight mourning, nothing would change
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 I was serious about that Giacchino fan site. If he keeps up his current line og great scores he should REALLY deserve on in another few years.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 19, 2004 Posted January 19, 2004 Oh yes, that'll be a huge opening.....Like I said before I would attempt one myself but I dont know how to put these web pages together. I need to find another Giacchino fan who is equally devoted!
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 20, 2004 Posted January 20, 2004 Tried doing a google search to see if there was a Giacchino fan site out there. No suck luck unfortunately.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Damn its gonna be hard playing Pacific Assault on PC without Mike's spectacular music backing it up.
Ollie 1,375 Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 Christopher Lennertz's Medal Of Honor Rising Sun is actually good in my opinion.
QMM 4 Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 How'd you get it? I've been looking all over for it
Ollie 1,375 Posted January 23, 2004 Posted January 23, 2004 It's a composer's promo (CDR). It was sent free with a large order I placed from Buysoundtrax.com's ebay store. I was suprised to find it in my package but I'm not complaining. I've heard a rumor that it may see a legit release sometime this spring.
Morn 8 Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Guacchino, the talented Williams fanboy video game composer. Why isn't he posting here with us?
A24 5,156 Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Q, I've asked this before, do you actually own one CD of Williams?
Lurker 5 Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Q, I've asked this before, do you actually own one CD Â of Williams?And CD-R's don't count.Neil
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Damn!!!!! I need Mark to hook me up with one of those MOH: Rising Sun scores!!!
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted January 26, 2004 Posted January 26, 2004 I always wanted to know if Lennertz tried to retain the same musical style that Giacchino introduced.
QMM 4 Posted February 1, 2004 Posted February 1, 2004 Anybody hear Giacchino's Lost World score?Pretty good stuff
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 I've heard that. It is fairly good. Not as good as his post-MOH stuff though.
QMM 4 Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 Yeah I know, it was the first time that there had been an actual orchestra used for videogames so it wasn't gonna be that good yet
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 I wish Mike would get the chance to score one of these big upcoming epic adventure movies. Imagine the kind of work he could do with a grandiose score budget? 8O
QMM 4 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Rising Sun tracks are up now at http://www.eagames.com/official/moh/rising....jsp?edID=musicNot Giacchino's music but the guy's a nice sub
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Hmmmmm I am listening to the opening main theme. Its pretty good stuff. Not Giacchino quality as you said but this is still quite good.
QMM 4 Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Notice in the last part of "Pearl Harbor Turns", you can hear Giacchino's MOH theme.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Hmmmmmmm I haven't listened to that track yet. I'll get around to it.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Anyway I am glad Lennertz's ego didn't get in his way and he correctly implemented Giacchino's old music into the score to nice effect.
WiseManShazam 0 Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 Overall a pretty well done score, although I wish the music that is playing in the game when the Japanese are attacking Pearl Harbor was there, it had such a good chorus. Ah well, maybe it'll turn up somewhere.
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Overall a pretty well done score, although I wish the music that is playing in the game when the Japanese are attacking Pearl Harbor was there, it had such a good chorus. Â Ah well, maybe it'll turn up somewhere. You've played it then? How did you feel about it overall?
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 We need to keep this thread going. At least until Mike's next score comes out.
A24 5,156 Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 There's a Special Edition of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. The box says the soundtrack is included. Does that mean the CD is in the deal?----------------Alex Cremers
QMM 4 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Allied Assault's soundtrack had nothing new in it except the main theme, Michael had said he planned on releasing a compilation album sometime....
A24 5,156 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Allied Assault's soundtrack had nothing new in it except the main theme, Michael had said he planned on releasing a compilation album sometime....So, am I to understand that it's a CD with the same music, except for the main theme, as the original Medal of Honor which is selling top cash at eBay's?----------------Alex Cremers
Erik Woods 841 Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Allied Assault's soundtrack had nothing new in it except the main theme, Michael had said he planned on releasing a compilation album sometime....You do realize that Giacchino composed 15 minutes of new music for Allied Assault.-Erik-
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Allied Assault's soundtrack had nothing new in it except the main theme, Michael had said he planned on releasing a compilation album sometime....Thats not true! There were like 5 new tracks. Including Tiger Attack, some music for the North African and final German missions and a track called "Snipertown".
Rogue_Leader 2 Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 I wonder if Mike will be scoring that CoD score for the console Call of Duty game coming out later this year.
