JoeinAR 1,957 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 You misunderstand me. I was referring to Americans generally not using 24 hour time indicationI understand you completely but I was talking about the time difference, it was you who failed to understand me. do the dutch you the 24 hour time, seems a stupid way to go about it.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Maine is covered in blueberries, you can drive down the road and find them all over.
Maglorfin 219 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Me and my GF are driving to my parents for today's lunch, we're gonna be havin' us a barbecue! I just have to wait for my darling to wake up (she worked the night shift) and then we'll be off.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 T-bones, roasted potatoes, salad, scraped corn, and homemade pecan pie, that's pronounced pee-khan, not pe-can

Wojo 2,458 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 Last night I had a meatloaf sandwich, there was bacon in the meatloaf. Holy hell it was awesomeWouldn't that make today's sloppy joe? Or is it all gone?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,383 Posted August 14, 2012 Author Posted August 14, 2012 Wasn't Sloppy Joe your pornstar nickname back in the 80's?

Or is it all gone?I did have leftovers yesterday. headed the buns in the toaster oven and the meatloaf in the microwave. Was still awesome.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,383 Posted August 14, 2012 Author Posted August 14, 2012 Just cooked a shitload of Macoroni with paprika, ground beef, bacon, harricots, mushrooms, onions carrots, spices and some garlic. most of it will go in the freezer for when I run out of money to buy food.
Wojo 2,458 Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 No idea what you're talking aboutDidn't think so.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 I'm about to fry up some catfish, fries and hushpuppies,, with a side of sliced white onion and tartar sauce.

Datameister 2,586 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Agreed about onion. Surprisingly, it doesn't seem to do much to my digestive tract, and I'm always a big fan of onion on sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. Especially red onion.
Jay 46,241 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Stadium fare at Gillette Stadium - going to the Pats/Eagles game tonight
gkgyver 1,647 Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Oven-cooked cod with a salad of grilled peppers, feta and corn, in a light mustard vinaigrette.
alicebrallice 134 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 best lunch I've had in a while.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Woah!Would you mind if I took a bite? That reminds me of the time a few years ago when I was on vacation and stopped at a Moevenpick ice care. My dad and myself ordered a "friendship cup", consisting of 20 scoops of ice cream, plenty of cream, two bananas, an apple and some liqueur. That was absolutely awesome.Tonight, I had Tatar from fillet of beef in lemongrass marinade and roasted vinegar mushrooms.
Luke Skywalker 2,383 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 A Spanish classic:Mother's Tortilla de Patata* (with onion!) sandwich, with garliced mayonaise.Delicious!*AKA Spanish omelette.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Garlic mayonnaise is something I can eat with everything. Pour that stuff on a leather couch and it would taste pretty good to me.I like omelettes with potatoes, bacon, nutmeg, onion and tomato.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 best lunch I've had in a while.what is that? what are those beans looking things. are they chocolate raisins? my first thought was is that boston backed beans with whipped cream?
gkgyver 1,647 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 It has cream, that's all I need to know.
alicebrallice 134 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 Woah!Would you mind if I took a bite? That reminds me of the time a few years ago when I was on vacation and stopped at a Moevenpick ice care. I was surprised because on the menu sign was a boring dry looking donut with a small amount of soft ice cream on top of it and I was served something completely different.
King Mark 3,975 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I had a subway roastbeef subMy problem is that it dind't have enough meat. If you order a "turkey and ham" for example you get a row of turkey and a row of ham. The roastbeef only had one row or roastbeef. Shouldn;t they double the meat when it's only one kind of meat?
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 After having subs at other places, I've found Subway's to be quite pedestrian; and expensive without the expansive $5 footlong menu. Plus they're not the most sanitary of places to eat.I like Potbelly's.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 You know, after reading about the mayonnaise, I actually made me some, and since I would feel guilty if I ate it up with a spoon, I had some potatoes as a side dish. So, it was garlic mayonnaise with a side of potatoes Woah!Would you mind if I took a bite? That reminds me of the time a few years ago when I was on vacation and stopped at a Moevenpick ice care. Well ... no, we did finish it ... and had a cup to go afterwards I'll remind you of the invitation next time I get to Sweden. Which won't be anytime soon, so you're lucky. Or not, depends.
Wojo 2,458 Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 There are some convenience stores and grocery stores near me that make sandwiches far superior to Subway. I don't eat there much anymore.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Salmon, whole grain spaghetti, and salad. Now to finish it off with a nice glass of Silvestri's pinot noir.
gkgyver 1,647 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Chicken breast filled with feta cheese and topped with gouda. And salad.
