Looks like it will be a 70-75 minute CD.

I wonder if the last track will be the Williams' arrangement of the song from the stage version (I suspect it will play over the end credits).

9. The Deserting (2:34)

Is that like The Deserting Chase?

Oh god I hope not.

If so the Academy will probably not consider the score eligible because it uses previously existing music.

Huh...?

FilmComposer told me that the End Credits consists of the three major themes from the film: a "Celtic Horse Theme", the "Bonding Theme" (theme from the trailer) and the "Dartmoor Theme".

Well, good news for me!

I don't know how the song will be used, it was pure speculation on my part. Maybe they didn't use it all in the end.

Well even if they did use it, it does not have to tie in with the soundtrack release.

Or, it could be that the song is the second to last track, like with Far and Away.

Seriously, if it's a 70-75 minute album, I don't mind if there is one song included.

I'm glad you at least noticed it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Good for you!

5, if the other title Matessino referred to is indeed coming out soon

Thanks for the friendly welcome, also thanks to Jason for the War Horse tracks - I hope you don't get assasinated by some Sony pr exec, I did some minor work with Sony's PR team and they were anal about confidentiality. I still daren't use the artwork I co-designed anywhere.

After thats, its back to the doldrums till 2014.

Sigh....

And the glass is always half-empty. Always.

Lincoln and Robopocalypse are doldrums?

I hope shortly after Hook, so in December :)

To be honest, I wouldn't mind waiting a few months for that second MM release, either.

I mean, we have 4 JW releases now as it is. I'll be busy listening to those . . .

Okay . . . I wonder which track contains the bit we can hear in the trailer.

Posted

According to FilmComposer, the flute solo at the end of the trailer is from the End Credits.

Why wouldn't it be?

Why wouldn't it be?

Uh, because in the case of Tintin it isn't?

Tinkertin most certainly is an original concert arrangement that will surely be used under the end credits.

Yeah, but I meant a concert arrangement of the themes from the movie.

The first track of the Tintin OS album, as I understand it, doesn't feature any of the new major themes: Tintin's , Snowy's, Haddock's etc.

Posted

It does feature the main theme

Gotta level with you though, judging by the samples, the first track is the one that I like the least. At least so far.

So far there's about 43.2 minutes of music. 5 tracks left!

I predict a 65 minute album.

Posted

I wonder how long the movie will run...

I don't think it will be as long as SPR, but we might be looking at a 140 minute movie.

Posted

I predict a 120 minute CD. The first of its kind. And the last.

Maybe in 20 years, released by La-La Land! :P

I predict the OST will contain most of the score, and will in fact contain all the highlights

In terms of how much of the music is on the album, I predict it will be kind of like "The Patriot."

Most of the highlights are on the album, but some minor (and yet for us important) cues are missing.

Posted

Good predictions all. :D

Posted

But I am loving the fact that this movie definitely contains more music than the other Spielberg-directed war movies SL and SPR. :)
