Trent Hoyt 13 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Diet Pepsi anyone??I bought Red Sox tickets for tomorrow nights (Tuesday) game.
Trent B 354 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Vosk, tasting like and tasting similar are different things bud, but they both have that cooked to death fruit taste, I dislike both.with it being summer I will end up drinking less dark sodas. I drink only Pepsi, RC Cola, and fountain Coke.I'll drink more water, lemonade and Sam's Choice Grapefruit Soda which tastes sorta like Fresca and Squirt, only better.I can understand that. I generally too drink more water during the summer but I still like to have my Dr. Pepper. BTW I hate all diet drinks... I can't stand the after flavor, I've tried to get used to it I really have but I can not. Also drinks are much worse for you then regular soda FattyMcButterpants, even my gastric bypass doctor told me that. It fools the brain into wanting more.
Red 75 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 From what I understand Diet-Rite doesn't cause cancer. I also hate all diet drinks.Tea is delicious.
FattyMcButterpants 1 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 There are many diet drinks that use aspartame as sweetener. Aspartame can cause cancer in higher doses, and if I were you, I'd check the bottle/tin before buying/drinking it.
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 diet drinks are nasty, all of them, and the funniest thing is everyone who drinks them says the same STOOPID thing, once you get used to them they are not bad. Why get used to them at all then. Drink some water. If you can't drink the real thing why drink a terrible diet version. And the diet versions are worse for you in everyway.most recent purchase, a picture frame

FattyMcButterpants 1 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 You know the funny thing, or not so funny ... like I said, they can cause addiction. As mentioned before, I used to drink it regularly, and by now, it doesn't even taste good anymore; and yet, when a few days without Diet Coke pass, I really have the feeling I need it pretty badly now.And when I eventually do have a bottle, well I don't know how a junkie feels after getting a shot, but I could imagine it feels pretty similar. It's pretty grotesque really, you are drinking it, and while your stomach protests against it, you still feel good.
Ollie 1,375 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 Any diet drink tastes awful.Anyhoo I bought some Nautica t-shirts.
Trent B 354 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 I've been hoping to see if Wal-Mart has a Dr. Pepper t-shirt that I can buy but every time I look they seem to be out. Anyone wanna pick up a 2-XL size for me sometime if they see one?
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted June 10, 2008 Posted June 10, 2008 NO!!!besides you know as well as I that 2XL shirts are rarely the same size from one shirt to the other.
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted June 10, 2008 Author Posted June 10, 2008 Bought a Pepsi today, because the stupid vending machine was out of Dr. Pepper
Marian Schedenig 11,695 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Coca Cola Zero tastes just like regular Coca Cola, as long as it's cold enough. Pepsi, on the other hand, always tastes like Diet Coke.
Richard P 5,303 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I absolutely hate diet coke - the aftertaste almost makes me feel sick. Well, I'll drink it if it's all that's available, but I won't enjoy it much. Most of the flavouring in coke is the sugar, so once that's taken away, what is there? (and don't mention diet, caffeine free coke - that stuff has no business existing) I tried Dr Pepper 'Zero' a few times, not actually that bad, but it can't really compare to the real deal.Tried some sugar free fizzy cherry. Until I found out part of the very artificial flavouring is carrot juice and the taste suddenly changed for me. Never bought another 40p bottle after that.
Trent B 354 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 NO!!!besides you know as well as I that 2XL shirts are rarely the same size from one shirt to the other. I was only kidding and yes I know you're right about that of course.
Hitch 60 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I bought a new leash for Alma. I'm dying to take her for a walk.
bruckhorn 134 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I'm a Pepper, too. I keep telling my mother that it's as close as I'm ever gonna get to being a doctor. As for the t-shirt, Vosk, why bother-- aren't you gonna being wearing regular XL before long? Most recent purchase-- $800 repairs on my car (including a new water pump) and they didn't even do the darn oil and lube job that I asked for!
Hitch 60 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Most recent purchase-- $800 repairs on my car (including a new water pump) and they didn't even do the darn oil and lube job that I asked for!I do all my own oiling and lubing. Much more satisfying.

Hitch 60 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 No, he's referring to little Master Alfred Bates last seen in THIS BOYS LIFE
bruckhorn 134 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 Trust me, every boy with the last name of Bates has been hung with the "nickname" of "Master". I'd be willing to bet (not too big of a bet, mind you) that somebody whipped out that moniker when addressing Alan Bates during production of The Sum of All Fears, despite him being long passed the point of crossing over to the age of majority (when masters become misters).
Wojo 2,458 Posted June 11, 2008 Posted June 11, 2008 I bought a submarine computer game, the Genesis concert DVD from their free Rome show, and a 2007 Ford Escape.

Koray Savas 2,260 Posted June 28, 2008 Author Posted June 28, 2008 Mac > PC+iPod > Zune=Apple > Microsoft
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 a two foot long rack of babyback ribs. They are marinating in the fridge now, and will feel the heat shortly, but for a long time
BurgaFlippinMan 7 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Your first comparison is highly debatable.Especially if you play videogames....those weedy video cards on Macs just don't cut it.
indy4 160 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 I don't play video games, and that's pretty much the only advantage of having a PC.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,387 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 Wow, how big is it?I'm not even gonna ask if it's Full HD.
A24 5,156 Posted June 29, 2008 Posted June 29, 2008 It's a HD Ready 50" plasma. The Full HD has a rectangle standard.
