The Star Wars CD by the FSO. Far from flawless, but I like the fast tempos and LOVE the energy. This is an album experience.

You can also use them to decouple your speakers from the floor. They supposed to be much better than speaker spikes.

Handsome...that's something you say to old ladies.

I got a new TV. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow at Best Buy. It's a Chinese brand which I felt weirdly inspired to purchase. Hisense?

My Vizio (California brand) was fine but it had major issues with the HDMI circuit and recently would turn black (the opposite of MJ) while I was playing PS5. I double checked that it wasn't the PS5 since the HDMI port is fairly loose on the system and all this stuff was abused during transit by POD employees. Sure enough, on the flawed Samsung TV that came with the pad, no issue whatsoever. It's the Vizio and it's going out with the trash like Shredder.

The Hisense I got is a 50 inch 4K with Local Dimming, which is apparently a big deal, although I've never heard of it. It was no more than 300 bucks because I refuse to spend any more as these sets never last, like a pair of sunglasses. Even the notoriously strict and frankly miserable TV review page I follow said it was undoubtedly the best TV in this price point, and they trash everything that costs less than a thousand bucks. Local Dimming is a major factor in every review and it seems that most TVs are in fact mediocre if not terrible. This one's got the goods though, apparently. We'll see.

Nope. Already have a Samsung and I don’t like it. I don’t want Korean, I want China.

It looks pretty awesome. Way better than my other sets. It’s razor sharp without me having to wear my glasses to appreciate those details. Of course I had to turn off the Daytime Soap Mode. Does anyone actually use that?

Thanks, China!

Ya know…those motion settings that make everything look like a Daytime Soap? All the TVs come with those settings turned on.

Peter Jackson calls it high frame rate.

I remember noticing that for the first time on a demo TV in Japan, and watching BTTF Part III and thinking "WTF? It looks like it was shot with a video camera."

Do your eyes eventually adjust and you don't notice it anymore?

I've tried. Adjusting never happens. It just stays persistently annoying.

But for whatever reason, you never notice it in video games. Higher the frame rate, the better. I usually lock it at 120fps and it looks great.

Nice. What have you listened to since?
