Jay 46,244 Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Oh I thought you meant the iTunes track at first. I getcha now
Arpy 4,255 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/8031298/composer-michael-giacchino-on-planet-of-the-apes-lin-manuel-miranda-hamilton Another good article, Giacchino talks about the Incredibles and mentions a message board, possibly fsm or here concerning negative reactions to his pun titles.
Xander Harris 9,675 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 A message board post that misread could have been. He's ruining soundtracks with his music, not the track titles. Love, Justin White
Arpy 4,255 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 I'm just going to assume what you said was positive, and that I had misread it...
Nick Parker 3,049 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 On JWFan, track titles are what he should be concerned with least, when it comes to negative reactions.
Xander Harris 9,675 Posted November 13, 2017 Posted November 13, 2017 Why do I sense we've picked up another pathetic lurker?

James 120 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Translation: I did not have the Episode IX, but that does not stop me from making some fun stuff for the next Indi movie. Sorry, Giacchino! I can not avoid this thought!

Bilbo 4,294 Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 The only way I will see Indy 5 is if Williams is scoring it.

Jay 46,244 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 For Star Trek, there are a few differences between the OST and the DE. For one, the revised opening logo cue appears in its own track on the OST ("Star Trek"), while it is combined with most of "Narada Bing" on the DE (which they then renamed to "Star Trek"). Another is "Enterprising Young Men", which is shorter on the OST because the DE version features that extra bit for Checkov failing to take off after Kirk gives the command that was trimmed out of the OST version. For Star Trek Into Darkness, you don't really need the OST; The OST track "Kronos Wartet" is simply a shortened edit of the tracks "Klingon Chase / Meeting" and "Harrison Attack" from the DE. The OST track "Brigadoom" is identical to the DE track "Harrison's Heart / Enter The Vengeance", they just changed the name. And "Star Trek Main Theme" is part of the end credits, its up to you to decide if its worth holding on just to have it in its own track. For Star Trek Beyond, every single OST track appears in the same form on the DE, under the same name. greenturnedblue 1
Kasey Kockroach 2,744 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 The only two aspects that bother me about Giacchino are his albums usually sounding dry and THAT CLAIRE DOESN'T HAVE HER OWN THEME. THAT STILL CHEESES ME OFF I DEMAND A CLAIRE SUITE A CLAIRE MEDLEY ...anyway, I really want Claire to have her own theme and really hope she has one in Fallen Kingdom. Unlikely, but not impossible.
Wojo 2,458 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I thought you meant Claire from Lost. The characters from Jurassic World weren't interesting enough to remember their names.
Kasey Kockroach 2,744 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 I meant Claire Redfield from Resident Evil.
Kasey Kockroach 2,744 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Ravioli, ravioli, give me the formuloli. Koray Savas and Not Mr. Big 2
JoeinAR 1,957 Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 watching Dr. Strange and I realize I am hearing Star Trek music. ugh
Not Mr. Big 5,011 Posted March 27, 2018 Posted March 27, 2018 Ravioli, ravioli, take the gun. leave the cannoli
leeallen01 2,360 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Looks like Jurassic World is the next Giacchino score to get the concert treatment. Not Mr. Big 1
Kasey Kockroach 2,744 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 It's not happening in Texas, so who cares...>>
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Every now and then I inquire if he’s coming back to Texas for another concert but no response.
Kasey Kockroach 2,744 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Nothing cool ever happens in Texas. >.>
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 He’s been to Texas before, so has John Williams.
Kasey Kockroach 2,744 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Well, no one's notified me! For all I know, they showed up before I even established myself as a film score fan!
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Bummer, Williams was here twice since 2010, Ft Worth and Houston. Giacchino came to Dallas in 2012. Myself and a few members here attended the Williams rehearsal in Ft Worth and met him and got stuff signed. I went to the Giacchino concert and was able to meet him after the concert and get autographs and a picture taken. He also had Star Trek and Into Darkness music to picture concerts here as well, San Antonio and Houston I believe. I wasn’t able to attend those.
Ollie 1,375 Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Sorry, wasn’t trying to bum you out. Just throwing some hope in your direction. 😁
