  1. I love it dearly but for me The Agony and the Ecstasy takes that title. 😀 Karol
  2. Cleopatra. Fantastic score, among North's best. Very rich and always interesting. The three principal themes are to die for. Karol
  3. I thought the whole thing was meant to feel a bit out of touch and pretentious, just like the main character. Whether the musicological side of it is accurate or not I feel is beside the point. Karol
  4. Watched this last night. It was really great, beautifully directed and quite gripping. Blanchett was magnificent. Might be her best performance actually. Karol
  5. You know what, with Alien day approaching and 4K release coming out next week I wouldn't be at all surprised. The previous expansion is over 20 years old now. Karol
  6. The bottom line is, the best presentation of this is score to something each listener would need to tailor for themselves. Neither of the official presentations is perfect for listening. Karol
  7. I created a double playlist with both Delerue and Horner scores back to back. I called it Some Things Wicked This Way Come. 😂 Karol
  8. Decided to go to this. The fact they are using real choir and soloists makes me more optimistic about this. Plus (almost) any live Horner is good. Karol
  9. It was the longer cut. I wasn't sure which one to see so went with this one. Did I make a mistake? Karol
  10. Went to watch Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire this afternoon with a friend. It was OK actually. Bit unfocused and overstuffed (or to be more specific, overcrowded) but I liked it more than Afterlife overall. I will forget it by tomorrow, of course, but not sure why it is not doing better, both in terms of box office and critical response. Bad timing, perhaps? Karol
  11. The Abyss on the new 4K disc. Can't tell you how it compares in terms of look because I've never seen it before. Very enjoyable movie, very impressive technically. It's probably bit less than sum of it parts as it feels like some better Cameron films but it certainly does not stop me from enjoying myself tremendously. Karol
