  1. Hi, I have it on good authority from the marketing people that this is the intro to a feature that runs about 10 minutes and there is a title plate that comes up on the last note of that intro.
  2. Great interview Jason, thanks for that. I'm just glad we get the complete Ultimate War in first rate audio
  3. Stop it you are making me drool could you imagine how good something like that would be.
  4. Now that would be a dream A couple of surround channels makes no difference to me. I just watch movies in 2-channel stereo. I can see your point but I spent a heafty work bonus last year on a full home cinema system and have to say 7.1 discs sound a lot more fuller. I hope War Horse is 7.1 too
  5. Personally I think that was one of the best DVD documentry extras on JW, I adore seeing him work the orchestra at a recording session. Lets hope someone gets that alternate opening title sequence out on a complete score album i'm hoping for another great score feature on War Horse Thanks for posting. The specs of the Blu-Ray 1080p High Definition High Definition 2.35:1 No 7.1 audio! DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 Really dissapointed about this, I really wanted it in 7.1 as in cinemas
  6. Finally...................waited what seems like forever for this. I am holding out for 6.1 or 7.1, my system needs a workout Thanks for posting. Ad
  7. Hi, Can somebody record this and upload to youtube - just for us on the other planet called 'The UK' Thanks, Ad
  8. I know I am pissing in the wind (there is no smiley icon for that LOL) but I am still daring to hope War Horse takes the Oscar for best score. I promise you all I have tried sooo hard with The Artist and believe it to be a great score but (and I'm sorry) it is not in the same league as War Horse. I have just been sent the 'For Your Consideration' CD for War Horse and hearing the end credits presented as they were in the film just makes me want that Oscar on Johnny's shelf even more. Thank guys, Ad Just to add, I move in a lot of UK music critic circles, some are BAFTA music voters and the word within those groups is War Horse is JW's best score since Schindler's List, I would love to see the BAFTA score award individual votes because I bet it was closer than we realise
  9. Hi All, Lets hope that the Academy had heard about this article and we get a nice surprise and War Horse takes best score.
  10. I think the fact that Hans Zimmer has a star on HWF shows that main stream composers should strive to achieve this and lets face it JW is the bench mark. There is no question that Spielberg, Lucas etc should simply sort this out, they all donate a great deal to charity and the fee is what they earn in a day. SORT IT!!!!
  11. This should be interesting. Do many academy voters make there mark here? When does voting for the academy awards close - I really am holding out for JW's 6th Oscar
  12. Hi, Does anybody know if JW is attending the BAFTA's. I am in the city this weekend working on a PR event so was thinking of using my contacts to go to the awards press event after the show. I have asked for a guest list but its not released till the day before. Jason you seem to know insider info LOL. Thanks, Ad
  13. Hi, I don't know about anybody else but when these compilations come out I use them to canvas family and friends and introduce them to Williams' greatness. I get asked from time to time to go to local high schools and music schools to speak on film music, its great to close a lecture by saying 'if you want to here most of the masters finest works get this album......................' With the economy and the life of a student they don't have much spare cash so its ideal. As long as 1 person leaves with a greater understanding of the greatest composer of our age I am happy LOL. Ad (UK)
  14. Oh apologise for misspelling of Reznor, I meant no dis-respect I just was getting a little excited when I was typing. I have just remember another example of a year that a new to the scene film composer won, remember when John Corigliano won for The Red Violin beating of Williams and Newman. Thanks again guys. Ad
