  1. Wow, the clues do seem to fit that film nicely. Would this be the first Brian Tyler expanded score release, if that's what it is?
  2. Was it recorded outside the US? It's post-2005. And why would they put a UFO in the twitter version?
  3. Has anybody noticed that the clues for the second album are different on Twitter vs Facebook? https://twitter.com/VareseSarabande/status/1780650848227627135 https://www.facebook.com/varesesarabanderecords/posts/pfbid0P5B8jN4RqBr4qg1vNWTgt9r3Vsk5g1fddthh75Xft8CZ2pwbeLjbcnr1qrG5M8r1l
  4. They'd need a choir for "Dry Your Tears Afrika" from Amistad or "Cadillac of the Skies" or "Liberation" from Empire of the Sun. But yeah why not "The Long Road to Justice" and "Jim's New Life"? I'd say drop "Helena's Theme" and bring in "The Presses Roll"
  5. https://www.kkl-luzern.ch/en/20-04-2024-19-30-williams-spielberg.html https://www.citylightconcerts.ch/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/CLC_E-Book_A_Tribute_to_Williams_and_Spielberg.pdf I've heard "Revisiting Normany" performed live, and it's fanTAStic! It's so cool they are doing "Incident At Isla Nublar", "Jewish Town", and the end credits from Last Crusade and Munich too!
  6. They didn't want to just name the movie Police Squad (the show it was based on), worried about people confusing it with the Police Academy films. So they came up with a big list of potential names, and picked The Naked Gun because it "promised so much more than it could possibly deliver." The term originates from the wild west days (a gun without a holster) but I dunno if that is how the name got on the list. I always figured it was a nod to Get Smart's movie followup being called The Nude Bomb
  7. Since releases co-licensed from 20th Century Fox/Studios to any label stopped at the end of 2022, anything in the Alien/Predator franchise seems unlikely to me.
  8. For his part, Spielberg, 77, is also staying busy. He will likely make his next project a UFO film based on his own original idea. David Koepp is writing the screenplay, sources say. https://variety.com/2024/film/news/martin-scorsese-frank-sinatra-biopic-dicaprio-jennifer-lawrence-1235973769/
  9. Got my shipping notice about 3 hours ago!
  10. The only titles Varese releases in their Club line these days are titles they own perpetuity rights to*. They don't own perpetuity rights to Predator (and the Intrada edition is still in print), and they just Deluxed Predator 2 10 years ago Here's a list of titles they own in perpetuity https://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=86092&forumID=1&archive=0 * Dracula, HTTYD 2, and HTTYD 3 are the only exceptions in the past 10 years or so.
  11. So bummed they've made a Steamworld Heist II before a Steamworld Dig III
