  1. Now that I recall, I had some difficulties encoding the last track of CD 1, the Close Encounters Suite. It took a while in EAC, or perhaps I used Burst Mode—I can't quite recall. Nonetheless, I eventually managed to obtain a perfectly encoded cue. Close Encounters of the Digital Errors!
  2. @ciarlese In EAC, you can rip a track in 'burst mode', without error correction for these case. Often the encoded track is perfectly fine. Do I have to say that the CD technology is perfectly... imperfect?
  3. I can send you the track if you can't rip it. Such things happens, technology is not perfect.
  4. Indeed, I find this awkward. When I see an album titled "Bach Reimagined," it often suggests that they will freely adapt Bach's music, adding notes, changing the style... and ultimately, it's no longer truly Bach. It becomes a sort of pop or jazz version of Bach, aimed at people who typically aren't familiar with or fond of Bach's music. However, in the case of John Williams and this album, I believe we can simply refer to it as "new arrangements." Unfortunately, everything in the music industry revolves around marketing. Let's consider the brilliant way in which the latest album by James Newton Howard featuring his music for Shyamalan's films was marketed (Night After Night [Music from the Movies of M. Night Shyamalan], 2023). Here, both the cover and the title are marketing disasters.
  5. JW: For many years now, I've dreamed of becoming a Disney princess. Disney: It's Legend... JW: Bummer, are you sure?
  6. People are discussing the possibility that the series may feature a young Darth Plagueis... Is it true? Finally, we'll get to see his Master for sure... Darth Tenebrous? Unfortunately for us, these Sith will be portrayed by humans wearing plastic or CGI masks...
  7. I was 15 when I discovered Tim Burton's Batman movie in theaters. I had already researched everything about the Joker portrayed by Jack Nicholson, whom I also discovered through this film. Besides the noir and gothic aspect, what struck me the most was the music. After watching the film, I rushed to the record store to get Danny Elfman's LP (yes, a vinyl record), which was also my first encounter with Elfman. Technology was changing rapidly then, making it both my first and last vinyl purchase. Subsequent soundtracks, all by John Williams, entered my home on CD. But what a beautiful memory of that summer at 15! It's a film and a soundtrack I still love immensely. I had this poster in my room and this flag banner : I even had Batman suspenders!
  8. Yes, of course it's great when we listen to the "New" digital edits from the expansion, not the clunky ones from the old OST.
