You would need to contact the concert producers directly, however the materials are closely guarded and typically only circulated to conductors and orchestras with a booked show. The Harry Potter film concert series is produced by Cineconcerts (https://www.cineconcerts.com/), whereas Star Wars is produced my Disney Concerts.

This is the segue between 1m6 Zam's Dirty Trick and 1m7a Zam Chase Pt. 1 which is aligned slightly differently on the 2018. There aren't any horns playing it this point - just bones and tuba.

Johnny Douglas's SPIDERMAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS (1981)
Jim Ware replied to filmmusic's topic in General Discussion
Dulcima Records is planning to release Johnny Douglas’ music for the Dungeons and Dragons animated series later this year. The Transformers album that was previously issued on LP will also be re-released digitally as part of the 40th anniversary. -
Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson were both Executive Producers and 'script consultants' for Villeneuve's films, but yes, their books are indeed awful. I expect the upcoming Sisterhood TV series to be similarly risible!

The editing shouldn't come as a surprise - they had a *lot* of time and money to record. Ignoring the trims made for the album, there are countless performance edits throughout the scores. The divergence between 'album' and 'film' versions likely came about as a result of differing digital workflows and tools (and Shore's personal preferences in some cases). In the case of Return of the King, recording continued well into November 2003, long after the album had to be finalised.

Howard Shore is scoring David Cronenberg's The Shrouds. Michael Giacchino may be concentrating on pre-production of Them! Alexandre Desplat scored the first three episodes HBO's The Regime (with Alex Heffes scoring the final three).

It's an excellent performance let down by technical issues that mar a few tracks. I can live with the artefacts, but they really shouldn't be there. I'll defer to @thx99 for a more detailed explanation:
-
True. Archival and re-recording are in no way analogous. Do not get me started on this one!

Jerry Goldsmith's INCHON (1981) - 2024 Intrada 3-CD Complete
Jim Ware replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
Yes - incorrect takes (Just an Oasis), incorrect assembly of takes (My First Bus Ride - neither version on the Intrada release is correct) and everything recorded in LA sounds like a rough mix. With a few exceptions, it duplicates the sound and content of one of bootlegs. Thankfully it does not have any egregious phasing like Goldsmith's The Mummy (which also has incorrect takes in a few spots - Night Boarders for one). -
