you're welcome for the last one btw ;-)

There are also others... I'd recommend "Jurassic Park: Unleashed Volume III." It should be the raptors in the Kitchen seqeunce with restored score.

Did anyone else catch that JW video series on YouTube? There's 10 videos pertaining to the TPM which was recorded in '99. I never saw that before. Where did it come from?

I named them Volume I, II, III etc just to give them different distinctions rather than writing

"Jurassic Park: Raptors in the Kitchen"

"Jurassic Park: Goat Bait"

"Jurassic Park: Raptor in the Shed"

"Jurassic Park: The Lost World- The Trek" --look for this as it's comming soon

"Jurassic Park 3: Clash of Extinction."

It just made more sense--to me anyways--to have shorter names and post them as that as I do them...

JP has 3 so far, I'm doing the first for TLW, and I might be working on a 2nd for JP3... depends.

if its the John Williams conducting the hollywood bowl, it's not that great if you ask me... the tempo is definately not very well observed by the performers... there are moments where it seemed... they weren't watching...

What's so confusing about 12/8?

not to mention the helicoptor at the end...

Did Williams arrange that music for the 2002 Academy Awards?

It's brilliant.

Yes.

That Vanilla Mood video was kinda cool.  Where can I hire them for a gig?

Tim

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool too. I also like their rendition of the Pink Panther Theme.

lol... The whole time I'm thinking "How unbeleivable. If I were Lois, I'd faint."

And then she fainted... lol...

And I love the "You've GOt me?! Who's got You!"

and he just chuckles...perfect responce. lol

Anyone else notice how in the recent superman movie they copied one of those shots almost exactly. (The one of him runing down the sidewalk, then across the street and ripping his shirt... lol)

Aagh! Aspect ratio screw-up!

I love this one. John Williams performs music from the Academy Awards in 2002.

I love that medley. Great to see the video again. It makes me want to see those films.

- Marc, who must get the Godfather DVDs sometime.

Yep, that one flows very well.

In fact most of them are good. The Fox Fanfare- Star wars was pretty obvious. The Titanic-Psycho is hilarious. I always imagine Williams stabbing horner in the back.

That's clip really is great. And as always, E.T. gave me goosebumps.

Does anybody have a high-quality audio recording of this? I mean, I could just record it from the clip, but I'd love to hear a better recording if anyone has it.

I love the transition of Bridge on the River Kwai to Patton.

EDIT: KingPin, do you have the entire performance?

Unfortunately no. :P

Agreed...

And from there Patton just takes the stage, just something in it that commands honor, never noticed it till listening to this now.

Just found this one... It looks like a high school orchestra, and they're playing Battle of the Heroes. The performance is actually quite decent (it's a ton better than City of Prague!!!).

And the best part comes at the end of the piece...

I've yet to hear a school orchestra ever play this well. Same goes for the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

It's probably because the LA Phil's helicopter section is consistently out of tune.

i also like the 4 chicks doing E.t.

I bet E.T. would like 4 chicks doing him too! :sigh:

I actually really liked that song! Never heard of Gnarls Barkley though. But damn good performance, and awesome costumes.

Edit: Checking out some links for them I found out that they dress up with pop culture costumes quite often, they were pictured in Clockwork Orance costumes for something else.

Cool stuff!

Wow, I've never seen the video of the Oscars medley. Thanks for sharing!

And this was the caption from the person who posted their high school's performance of Battle of the Heroes:

this is our symphony orchestra playing some starwars song.
ROTFLMAO

But that wasn't too bad for a youth symphony. It's funny what I expect from each section of that piece, after hearing the LSO recording so much. And then you hear that....

Really nice performance... The cymbal clashes sounded like someone scraping two metallic objects together. lol

Shame the choir lowered the octave at the end..
