I don't think I've ever heard anybody mention those movies after their opening weekends. I knew they were still popular but they always seemed like kind of an afterthought next to the other big franchises.

I saw the first two - they came out when I worked at a movie theater, and just saw every movie that came out. Didn't like either so never watched any others.

Marianelli >>>> Streitenfeld

He's one of the most versatile and talented people writing for film out there.

That Evey Reborn leaves you unmoved is a bit surprising, as Sharky says, it wipes the floor with Streitenfeld's career (not to say I didn't enjoy the American Gangster clips you posted). Here are a few others to throw your way:

I wasn't familiar with any of those. Wow, I love the Jane Eyre and Brothers Grimm pieces (the V for Vendetta does nothing for me, though).

I remember liking and buying The Fast And The Furious when it first came out, and a few middle school friends liked it as well. I never watched one after that though, but knew it reached insane popularity status when Tokyo Drift sold out opening night while I was working at a theater.

The first 4 don't really do much for me, and I haven't seen the latest 2, but I quite enjoyed Fast Five, which was more heist movie than car movie.

Fast Five is actually highly enjoyable. Apparently, that's when they stopped taking themselves seriously and decided to really go over-the-top to just offer fun action sequences. And it worked for the best.

Poll updated; Mychael Danna is scoring The Good Dinosaur and Junkie XL is scoring Point Break

It's still unknown who is scoring The Martian for Ridley Scott

Ah, interesting! I searched google and twitter yesterday after I saw Mr. Big's post but got no hits whatsoever.

Still, since upcoming films are user-editable on IMDB, it could be bogus info. Who knows.
