  1. Mangold's finally shooting his long-awaited Bob Dylan biopic in NYC. Chalamet seems to be everywhere right now. No composer attached yet, but I'm assuming a rough cut would be ready later this year. What are the chances Mangold would ask Williams to score this?
  2. Makes me wonder how many units Intrada restocked.. clearly wasn't enough!
  3. They should really be capped at 5 medals, yeah.
  4. WIll never happen because even if they started filming today, the film would take 3 years to finish. And for whatever reason Jackson seems completely disinterested in making feature films anymore.
  5. I wonder how many scores from the past 3 decades have been referenced in an Oscars ceremony outside the year in which their film was released? There's never a shortage of references to scores from decades ago but can anyone seriously picture a recent Best Score winner being referenced in an Oscars ceremony moving forward?
  6. The post-production schedule for Jurassic 7 lines up with Williams' availability too. Seems crazy but maybe he'd lend a theme or two for another composer to adapt (Powell?) Of course, he was asked to score Jurassic World and turned it down but his schedule was stacked in 2015 (with BOS and TFA).
  7. looooooool, was he meant to read that and skip the nominations? Seems like everyone was taken by surprise, from the camera guy to the presenter.
  8. Nolan must be in talks to direct Pirates of the Caribbean 6.
  9. Who was the genius at WB who let Nolan walk to Universal?
  10. If JW had won tonight, he would've been the oldest Oscar winner ever.
  11. Yeah, not sure how I felt about that. Merging a song performance (complete with smiles and applause for the singers) with a memorial? The staging and camerawork was super distracting with the constantly shifting stage, and splitting the focus between two singers, dancers and people who've died. The memorial was effectively relegated to wallpaper in the background. Felt tasteless. Maybe one of those "good idea on paper but not execution" things.
  12. So I guess JW just stayed home this year?
  13. Music from Schindler's List or Saving Private Ryan would make sense, but it'll probably be E.T., Raiders or Jurassic because they're more celebratory.
  14. Curious that Maestro was nominated for Best Sound. Were the orchestral scenes recorded live on set or something? He's well recognised at the Razzies.
  15. Hopefully Spielberg gets a JW theme for whatever award he's presenting.
