  1. Since the release of War Horse has been changed to December, perhaps this'll lessen the pressure ever so slightly enough that he'll have more time for Part 2? I also appreciate all these comments guys. Very interesting to read.
  2. Hmmm. Well you are right.. Warner Bros should say something tomorrow for sure. I guess I just posted a day early.
  3. Potterish has confirmed it. (foriegn Harry Potter website, but any Potter website is in the same league) And Snitchseeker is checking out tomorrow to confirm it themselves. Hahah, that would be such an intense show.
  4. Well, sorry about the title of the thread guys. I just literally couldnt breathe when I first heard this. And I cant edit the title thread, so whatever -__- But two reliable sources, especially snitchseeker, who are basically just going to confirm this..WB Brazil did, and now other WB wants to confirm it. *shrugs* BUT ARENT YOU FREAKIN EXCITED??? We have a thread dealing with the somewhat opposite: Will he even return, with a question mark? And I just now wanted to make it clear to the people who care, that it is indeed true now.
  5. I dont think that the composers of the films compose music for the trailers..he'd actually be scoring the movie, not the trailer for it. I've never heard of a composer like that scoring a trailer. But who knows. But thanks for the info on Conrad Pope..interesting..
  6. Generally, how long does it usually take a film composer to score a movie? (and let's just say the movie is 2-2.5 hours long). Also, how long does John Williams himself take to score a movie? Thanks.
  7. I think it's a good split..it has a action ending, then sad, and then a cliffhanger
  8. Yeah, I though the same thing not too long ago. To be honest, it would be cool as hell if he did it. After all, imagine the epicness! But if the was to return I bet he would have mentioned it on that recent article where he talked some of the upcoming film and concert projects. Do you have a link to the article at all..?
  9. On here it gives an address where his agent or him or something like that will get it..do you really think he will end up reading my letter? And it's not exactly a fan letter either, it's a letter for suggestion.
  10. All I can say is I don't want Alexandre Desplat scoring Part 2 - preferably John Williams to do it.
  11. But David Yates himself said he is doing a different style with each part and a different "feeling" (tone)..so it's almost like they are separate. Plus, it's not a movie being split into 2 parts it's a book. Part 1 is going to feel like a road movie, realistic and Part 2 is going to feel epic, operatic..and that's John Williams right there [Part 2] NOT Desplat. In fact, I'd have any other composer for Part 2 really..but preferably Williams. Yeah, I think he exaggerated on that one..lol But to me, Desplat at his best will never reach near the emotional depths of John Williams..I actually think he's not that good; I dont get what's so marvelous about Desplat.
  12. Haha, no he is not! But I hope you prove me wrong! Totally agree! So even if he was "forced" to compose it, it would still be better than Desplat..Williams couldn't help himself of writing good music for it.
  13. Yeah, probably...but what exactly else does he do that keeps him very busy? Do concertos keep him that busy, like a film score?
  14. I really hope he scores Part 2 of the two-part finale (Alexandre Desplat is doing Part 1) and I'm not sure if he will or not because as he said a while back "as long as it fits in with my schedule" and if you look at his upcoming projects: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0002354/#composer he has The Adventures of Tintin which he already finished, and that leaves War Horse for 2011 and Interstellar (and possibly Indiana Jones 5) for 2012. But Part 2 doesn't come out until July 2011..so do you think he has enough time to score it? I think he does, considering he already finsished Tintin (2011)..and that leaves War Horse for 2011 and Interstellar for 2012. What do you think? I really don't think Alexandre Desplat has the capability to produce the type of score Part 2 requires, but John Williams does.
