Yay, I beat the Burnt Ivory King and Sir Alonne I couldn't beat from the previous DLC

This last DLC was large (1 GB data). Took me 4 nights to complete

There's a couple of guys in the clan I'm in who have already beaten the Raid, so I'm expecting to get it done myself this week. If you want in at any point let me know and I'll invite you. Just as long as you don't bitch about it being too hard!

So how'd that work out? I was able to assemble a team of 6, 2 of which had beat it multiple times, and it took us over 3 hours to reach the final area. If 'part of the elite' means having no life I don't think I want to be a part of it, but alas here I am. ;) It's 4:30am and I'm physically drained from that bullshit. We're going to try to finish it by Tuesday. I wasn't aware that it saved the fireteam leader's progress so you can all jump back in where you left off before the week's end. Makes it much more humanely possible.

I don't know how they expect people to beat that raid without dying.

Lol it saves your progress for a week ya know. 4:30am? Hahaha!

We are starting it tomorrow. Some of us are Stateside so had to make arrangements. Hopefully have it done over a few days.

Yeah, I said that in my post! It was a bad idea starting it at 1am. Didn't know what I was getting myself into. I thought it was done after the first boss, and the guy was like "No that's the easy part."

Yeah, I'll gladly eat my words on that front. The level of communication required is unprecedented in any game I've played. The hardest part is just understanding what to do, really. Once everyone knows what they need to do it's just a matter of trial and error. Badass weaponry and armor is a must, though. I'll probably be doing the first couple parts of this every week just to get the loot chests.

The exotic pulse rifle I told you about earlier apparently sucks so much that Bungie is going to patch it. Glad I didn't go through those 25 strikes to get it. My rare auto rifle is still better than any legendary or exotic I've found. Doesn't make sense.

I'm still using an old but beastly Shingen C auto rifle, because it's possibly the best auto in the game for PvP. I would like to try an exotic one though. I also have the Invective shotgun and Plan C fusion (exotics). I've actually just acquired the bounty for the pulse you mentioned (Bad Ju Ju). I chose that one of the 3 on offer purely because of the buff it's going to be getting soon.

Oh and I bought the Icebreaker off Xur on Friday. Best sniper rifle in the game apparently (regens its own ammo).

I use a Shingen-E. 34 mag, zero recoil and quick reload after kills. Essential for PvP and my go-to primary for strikes and raids as well. It's only downside is the lack of high damage. Haven't found anything that tops it. I thought about getting that exotic sniper but its low stability put me off. I'm glad I did since I got a fantastic sniper from a chest in the Vault Of Glass that is super stable like my old one, that I subsequently put to rest. Can fire off 4 rounds in quick succession without a hitch.

I meant an E. The C is a shitty green one, my brother is still using one. Sounds like you have the same weapon as me, but mine does something else instead of fast reload, can't remember it though. But yeah, ridiculous stability and range, devastatingly fast time to kill in the Crucible. I also have an alternative Shingen E in the vault which has maximum rate of fire and a 68 magazine, but the recoil isn't as good as my other one. Can't bring myself to dismantle it though, just in case.

I've finally found all XOF patches in MGS: Ground Zeroes on PS4, but I had to cheat, I looked on a map where they were...

Now I've unlocked the two secret missions that are supposedly there for the die hard fans. Curious to find out what they're like.

I'm still loving this, even if it's considered a demo, it's simply making me anticipate The Phantom Pain more the more I unlock its many secrets and master its gameplay mechanics.

Yes, it's very cool, but once again not having Hayter doing Snake kind of defeats its purpose, and it makes me miss his voice even more for the upcoming installment.

I was stuck at the bit with the tank, not knowing exactly how to get the scene, but I just learned how.

Yeah I think I had to look that one up. The biggest let down about the whole situation is that there is no reason not to bring Hayter back. If they were rebooting the franchise, okay. If there was a scheduling conflict or even any conflict at all, okay. But he said that he was expecting to do it and they just never called him and went with Keifer with no explanation. Makes no sense!

Remember MGS2, the way he completely left Raiden out of trailers, previews and so on. How many people actually fell for the fact we we're going to be Snake the entire game, judging by what we were told?

I'm now a couple of hours into Alien: Isolation on PS4 and man, it's an utterly terrifying experience. Now that I've or better, the character Amanda Ripley finally met the beast, the unease and terror that its presence brings is pretty constant.

I've already had a close encounter of the nasty kind. I didn't live very long.

The visual design of everything in the game is spot on, very much set in the Alien universe as depicted in the film. The space station Sevastopol is beautifully rendered and the lighting and darkness will keep you on your toes. But you have to play this with a nice surround setup to get the truly chilling effect. I love how the many sounds of the station do weird things with my mind, always thinking something could happen but it eventually happens when I don't expect it. But the audio is definitely the main clue to get anywhere wherever the beast is hunting. Sound design is absolutely brilliant and I'm very happy it uses the music of Jerry and the many motifs he established in interesting ways to keep the suspense and atmosphere of the classic movie intact.

This game is one where hiding and evading and exploration are the primary gameplay ingredients, the pace is deliberately slow and action gamers won't have the patience to sit this one through, I expect.

I've read that the game may be too long for it's own good and that the levels were the alien is not around are not as interesting and can become a chore as the game goes on. But so far the Alien fan in me is totally satisfied.

Had my fill of Destiny finally, to the chagrin of my friends. But I'm burnt out. Once there's new content I'm sure I'll feel the urge again.

Anyway since it's getting to be cold out, it's obviously time to start wandering Skyrim again.

I can't stop playing. Being in Alaska inspired me to play. I'm almost level 30, have a house, two followers, and a dog, but I still haven't crashed the Thalmor party yet. I just like wandering around and filling in the map.

I'm pretty sure I'll get Alien Isolation someday when I have a PS4. And I'm pretty sure I won't last more than 5 or 10 minutes until I utterly freak out and never dare go near it again.

I've got a house, a wife, a vampire girlfriend, two kids, and a dog. But I don't remember where exactly I left off. I love that. I save after my periods of playing and forget about it. When I come back, it's a surprise to see what I was up to.

I started a new Morrowind character a while back and wasn't going to play Skyrim again until I finished that and the two expansions as well as Oblivion, but it's weirdly seasonal for me. The two earlier installments feel like spring and summer games. Skyrim is a must-play for this time of the year.

It's almost like a meditative experience. I can easily do zero questing and just wander around seeing things and listening to the very special score.

Risen 3 is actually pretty good.. There's a crapload of stuff to do and the discovery of things is rather obscure and cryptic. I find that rare in this day and age. I'm 20 hours in and still have no clue about the main quest

The atmosphere is truly excellent, my nerves remain constantly tense, and I have to be constantly aware of my surroundings to get anywhere. There are many helpful tools to trick the alien in searching elsewhere but despite that I can NEVER let my guard down. It also doesn't help the game knows no autosave function, I have to find a save station, which is to be located from far away by a pinging sound. Luckily the game eases up on the tension once in a while, when the alien disappears and I have to evade androids, humans. But what makes this game so hard, is if I can't outrun the beast once it's spotted me, it's pretty much game over. And that's the way it should be, true to the film's spirit.
