  1. What I would like is the cue that is named on Jason's analysis as "Inside the Crate". Seeing as that person also uploaded a number of Media Ventures scores, probably not! I found the Indy 4 score here (it's my youtube-page): http://forums.ffshrine.org/forumdisplay.php?f=72 I actually tried to synch that track to the scene in the film a few weeks ago, but some parts were impossible to synch correctly so I doubt that it's "the REAL" version.
  2. I've come to the conclusion that surfing here is that that hard-core JW-fan(atics) can't grasp the modern ways of doing scores, and modern composers (take Jablonsky's Transformers, altough I rate it very low) are PROFITABLE, and work in this day of movie making. Soon the old timers will be gone and all we will have are post-post-modern scores, just deal with it people. No mather how long you grab a hold of JW and who ever is still around and get contracted to do scores the old way, they will be gone within the coming decade (or two, or maybe even less, they aren't getting younger) and you will have your hate objects doing music. Personally, when JW kicks it and Spielberg picks a new composer, I don't really care if it will be Zimmer (Spielberg loved his Crimson Tide, but his opinion may have changed the past 15 years, and Spielberg is a grown man and is allowed to pick whom ever he suits), I just hope it's one of the modern ones that don't do JW style music but Zimmer-ish or whatever just to piss off you people. I'll be grinning when I read on this board when everyone just freaks out when Spielbergs then-newest film is released with a non-JW score. I'll love it when that happens, and can't wait until JW kicks it and the Berg gets a new composer. Altough, I don't wish death on JW, I don't know the dude, but the aftermath will indeed be interesting around this board.
  3. Wow, almost like fundamentalist williams-fanboys..how strange
  4. He can read and write notes. And he's very open about not being a very good coductor. Thought so.
  5. Can Zimmer even read/write notes? Thought I read he couldn't. Or maybe that he was to lazy to do it? He can conduct an orchestra, he's done a live thing once. The old fart Willimas would just crash all the computers 'cause he don't know what to do, and Zimmer would be too lazy to write with a pen and paper and a traditional piano without his companions so no one would win. Zimmer would explode after Williams BSOD:ed his studio and Willimas would sit in his rocking chair clenching on hard to a pen and a piece of paper woving never to look at a computer again....that's my vision of the events really. Even if I had some kind of musical talent I'd rather use synths, a mouse and keyboard and computers to write music. Just print everything out when done and hand it over to the conductor and just sit back while the orchestra does their thing. Basicly what Zimmer does.
  6. I don't know really (and I'm a Zimmer fan), haven't listened to it for a long time, but it works. It fits the movie, but it's only the main theme and the choir I really like. A slowed-down version of The Rock, but with less action-ques. The tracks are a little long, one is 23 something minutes, they could've cut it down to shorter tracks. Filmtracks.com like it (and they're Zimmer-bashers) http://www.filmtracks.com/titles/crimson_tide.html
  7. I started the DVD in media player but that didn't help. There comes up a box after it have analyzed the IFO files which says: "List out of Bounds (2)". I got ASPI Layer, other DVD's have worked (POTC 1, Raiders, Crusade, Doom etc)
  8. I was lazy , didn't want to make a lot of individual tracks, but now when it's done, I kinda regret that part actually, should have done individual tracks (as you noticed with fade ins and a few seconds of silence and new music begins). Please send me a copy of yours when you've done it. Keep in mind that smartripper wont work (if you use that). The DVD is copy-protected so I used a program called DVD-decryptor which is quite similar to smartripper. The sound quality is like that because I used of course the rear-channels. Tried to cheat some with adding some bass and It worked out ok, better then the "source" files before I upped the bass. I'm happy with it...maybe a Complete Recordings will leak out onto the net some day, most Zimmer score does that.
  9. It's done, e-mail sent out. I've added a few new ques from magicboxmusic and extended two tracks so it's a little longer now (1h37min09sec) but one track shorter. Just PM and I'll get it out.

  11. First post, but have been lurking around here for some time. Avid fan of Williams (among others). Seeing as there actually was interest interest in Damo's POTC Curse of the Black Pearl Score (including myself), I've ripped the score from DMC and I'am in the process of doing a Score project. I gotta say, there were a lof of music with no SFX (oddly the more action packed scenes), so it's coming around nicely, don't know if it will be a complete score as I'm trying to avoid SFX, and have done a pretty good job so far. If anyone is interested fire away a PM. Here's the track listing (subject to change): Main Titles - Wedding Crashers (1.54) Wedding Crashers Part 2 (0.21) For Whom the Bell Tolls - Jack & the Dead (2.25) Jack the Monkey (0.09) '...That Way, Direction...'
