  1. "So, I said to Margot "Margot, why don't you just speak the lines." Her singing was out of tune THIS MUCH!"
  2. Yes he was. He was still making public appearances, too.
  3. I was thinking about this clip the moment I saw the truncated headline that Borgnine had died at 95, and was hoping someone would post it. When you think back on how many movies the man appeared in, how late into his career he worked and stayed active, and how many of his contemporaries died years ago...this man won. Rest in peace. I love it! It's great, cause, he had obviously hit that point in his life where his philosphy was "Screw it! What are they going to do to me!?"
  4. Neat. It's never a movie I pull out because I'm looking for a great story or great acting. But, kinda like you said, when you're looking for that "movie experience", this is the movie to see.
  5. This was my favorite Ernest Borgnine moment from 4 years ago when he was on Fox and Friends. He talked about his secret to aging well...and well....just watch and listen for yourself. http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/a3b3ed3077/ernest-borgnines-secret-to-aging-well-from-that-happened
  6. Hollywood legend, actor Ernest Borgnine, has passed away. He was 95 years old. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/upshot/oscar-winning-film-star-ernest-borgnine-dies-la-212606632.html Borgnine was famous for his parts in McHale's Navy, Marty, and even considered for the role of Vito Corleone in The Godfather. RIP
  7. So, has there been any word on whose going to score this one? JW? Howard Shore? James Newton Howard? I'm going with the usual Peter Jackson suspects here and including JW, since he scored the first one. Thoughts?
  8. Best known as the calm, small town country sheriff Andy Taylor, and the country lawyer, Matlock, Andy Griffith has passed away. He was 86 years old. http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/03/andy-griffith-dies-dead/ RIP
  9. There's a double entandre joke in this thread title somewhere...
  10. THOSE episodes!? They picked THEM!? I don't care if it is being shown in my neighborhood, I'm not seeing it.
  11. My son watches these shorts all the time - I've been trying to get him hooked on the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies, too. I'm glad I wasn't going insane! I kept listening to those shorts and thinking "That music is WAY to clear!!! They must have re-recorded them!" My wife thought I was nuts. Still does, but for different reasons. The thing of it is, the new recordings don't fit with the visuals. I can't explain it. It's not that they don't sync up or anything. It's like - you know you're seeing something that "analog", but you're not hearing something that's analog. It's rather jarring.
  12. Show me Funeral! Family Feud host, Richard Dawson, has passed away. He was 79 years old. RIP http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/06/03/2830538/family-feud-tv-host-richard-dawson.html
