Only reason Banos did In The Heart Of The Sea was because of scheduling with Interstellar.

What? How does that make any sense? Zimmer was done with Interstellar last September or October, and In The Heart of the Sea opens in December 2015. Since Interstellar, Zimmer has done Chappie and The Little Prince. Why couldn't he have done Howard's film too?

~~

Finally saw the final Mad Max trailer. OK, I'm sold - I'll see it in the theater. Looks fun. Didn't realize before that Theron had a fake arm - really good special effects, there.

~~

I'd be more excited if Johnny Depp wasn't covered in so much unnecessary make-up.

Wow, looks like a cool film!

I agree with Koray though, the obvious make-up is very obvious on Depp, at least in the dinner scene.

If I was that other guy, I would have said "I lied, that isn't the real recipe"

I'm on mobile so excuse me not editing out the irrelevant stuff, but In The Heart Of The Sea finished filming a long time ago.

Sure, but that doesn't explain why Zimmer couldn't have score it after Interstellar. Or after Chappie. Or after Little Prince.

It doesn't open for another 7 months!

Spanish tax break. Probably a studio decision.

First official photo from Silence, Scorsese's next film

I can't wait for this. The book this is based on is a stunning piece of literature, totally tailor-made for Scorsese's sensibilities and it's very intriguing to see such an obscure period of Portuguese History to be portrayed in a big Hollywood production with one of the finest directors in the world

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that one too. Is it coming out this year?

It doesn't have a release date set, though. They finished filming and it shouldn't be a very post-production heavy film either so I think it could possibly be ready by December. We'll see.

Wasn't Scoresese's Wolf of Wall Street rushed to hit a December release date, and that's why we ended up with a 3 hour film because he wasn't done editing it down?

Watch the same thing happen to this one.

The 3 hour version is the "short" version, actually, since it was originally 4. He said in interviews that he was really happy with it, I don't think he felt like he was rushed into releasing something that was the wrong length. I seem to remember him saying it was mostly much more extended versions of scenes that are still in the film.

I know the original cut was longer - I thought 5 hours though not 4. But I thought he said he wanted it to be even shorter and he just ran out of time. Like Ingloroius Basterds.

Adam Driver is in this film too?!

He must have one hell of an agent.

But do some of keeping on saying that? I would assume JJ and Scorsese have enough clout to cast whoever they want in such high profile roles. There must be something in Adam Driver (I still haven't seen anything he was in)

I say it because I think he stinks on Girls. He rubs me the wrong way.

That may be the case, and as I said I really have no basis to agree or disagree with you. But he's clearly making a name for himself and I don't think that can be attributable to influence alone

I've heard/read people I respect say he's a good actor; I just found him to play every scene the same way on Girls, and then he was the same again in This Is Where I Leave You. And he looks goofy.

All the other new Star Wars characters are played by unknowns, which I like! This character I will have a preconceived notion about and thats a bummer.
