  1. Here's an obscure correction: The versions on the LLL and BTT are different recordings. BTT has a string accompaniment (reflective of the film version) while the LLL doesn't (for whatever reason). I'm not sure why the film version wasn't included on the LLL, seems like a weird oversight. But at least it's on the BTT.
  2. What's with the obvious cutting out error around the lady in the artwork?! It would be so easy to blend the colours so there isn't a distracting line. Sigh.
  3. Maybe pitching to Mondo to approach Disney about a tie-in vinyl expansion of TPM is an easier sell for the bean counters at WDR. They'd sell like hot cakes even at a stupid price. Pitching WDR directly about expansions seems like a dead end, for whatever reason. I've come to the conclusion there's no other explanation, considering they own 14 JW scores and not a single one has been expanded. No other studio holds such an embarrassing record.
  4. I've not looked too closely but it wouldn't be hard to recreate the OST using the LLL – just needs some basic knowledge of editing software.
  5. This is being restocked again! Based on the other pressings, it won't last long... https://mondoshop.com/blogs/news/hook-restock-vinyl-on-sale-info
  6. Wouldn't it be nice if an expanded version of The Phantom Menace just appeared out of nowhere alongside the theatrical re-release? Won't happen of course, seeing as Disney seem desperate to do nothing with these scores, while preventing anyone else from touching them either. I wonder if Mondo would have more luck triggering expansions than Intrada? Disney seem happy to take their bucketloads of cash in exchange for limited edition vinyl pressings, which seems to be what happened with Rogue One. And Mondo hired Mike to assemble the Hook vinyl, so presumably he'd be hired for expanded SW vinyls... WDR just seem totally uninterested in pursuing this themselves, but Mondo might have more luck?
  7. Well that's wonderful news indeed! Hopefully we can get Legend of Zorro as a companion release for Black Friday this year then Then hopefully the AFM will start granting waivers for 2005 scores anyway, because it's nearly two decades ago for crying out loud!
  8. Yep, and I think the "special edition" of Resurrection was for similar reasons. Not because JPJ had any interest in revisiting the film, but just to make sure all 4 films had multiple cuts. I've never had the patience to watch that alternate cut to see what was added. Presumably nothing of worth.
  9. Will definitely be the theatrical cut. The "director's cut" was seemingly never mastered in 4K; the recent UHD release actually upscaled the director's cut scenes from 1080p to 4K.
  10. Geez I'm glad my order shipped yesterday! Just in time. Still gotta say, I find it a little baffling they licensed 1000 less units of the third score. A stack of people who ordered the previous 2 expansions are going to miss out.
  11. Confusingly, I believe the film and Demaster actually present the cue as it was recorded. The OST tracked music from elsewhere in the cue (or possible another cue, I forget) to replace it.
  12. This probably counts as an alternate mix but there's all kinds of bizarre differences between OST and Demaster version of Augie's Great Municipal Band: OST: Demaster:
  13. Either they screwed up the mix or used the wrong take at 1:03 here, when they demastered AOTC. Compare the horns/percussion: 2002 OST: 2018 Demaster:
