Ah thanks for the info. If I'm able to I'll buy it directly from LLL. If not I'll put an order in with Peter (Movie Music).

Come to think of it I haven't listened to their TNG set in a long while. I should probably listen to it again.

Here is MV's entire post, I dunno why ManOf Destiny didn't post it

I'll give you guys a head's up on all things LLL:

Jan 29th

We will be releasing John Barry's mostly unused score to the 1977 Romantic Drama FIRST LOVE, starring William Katt and Susan Dey. This is a gorgeous Barry score in the great style of his 1970's period.

We will also be releasing the soundtrack to the new Motion Picture HANSEL AND GRETEL WITCH HUNTERS. I have to say, I am really happy with Atli Orvarsson's score. Beats the SHIT out of "Snow White" lol. Some really great stuff here.

Feb 12th

The MAIN "Heads up" I am giving you is for Feb 12 when we will be releasing our 4 cd set to STAR TREK DEEP SPACE 9. This bad boy will set you back $49.98, so save your pennies now.

Also, on that day, we will release Brian Tyler's score to the uber-cool JOHN DIES AT THE END.

A more detailed press release for all these titles will be forth-coming.

For the first time in 10 years things are pretty much going on schedule. La-La Land release #250 is just around the corner. It's a great feeling to have projects done, approved and, in some cases, in the office weeks before their scheduled release dates.

1238 - done and in the office early (release date: Feb 26)

1239 - being manufactured now (release date: Feb 12)

1241 - being manufactured now (release date: Jan 29)

1242 - most likely signed off on tomorrow (release date: Feb 12)

1243 - in the office (release date: Jan 29)

1244 - just waiting on Warners to make final sign off (release date: March 26)

1245 - at the printers (release date: Feb 12)

1246 - master approved (release date: Feb 26 or March 12)

1247 - master approved. Artwork almost done (release date: March 12)

1248 - master approved, notes written, artwork being made (release date: March 26)

1249 - master and artwork being made (release date: March 26)

1250 - Master just about done. Artwork being approved. (release date: April 9)

I love it when a plan comes together. ;)

I think 250 will be BSG: Blood and Chrome

Adding up what we know, I come up with:

Jan 29: 2 titles (1241 Hansel and Gretel and 1243 First Love)

Feb 12: 3 titles (1239, 1242, and 1245 - Star Trek DS9, John Dies At The End, and ?)

Feb 26: 1 or 2 titles (1238 which is already done and in the office, and possibly 1246 Wyatt Earp)

Mar 12: 1 or 2 titles (1247 The Hole and possibly 1246 Wyatt Earp)

Mar 26: 3 titles (1244 - a Warner Brothers title, 1248, and 1249)

Apr 9: 1 title (250th release - Battlestar Galactica Blood and Chrome?)

X-Files Vol 2 could be one of them somewhere too

What's missing?

  • When the ghostbusters arrive on the 12th floor looking for slimer
  • Source music before they go into the ballroom to bust slimer
  • Music when Dana closes her fridge
  • Tavern on the Green source music
  • When the StayPuft Marshmallow man shows up

I'm expecting TTC to come from La-La land, but I can also see them releasing Ghostbusters (or perhaps Intrada would). Either way I think Ghostbusters is a surefire reissue - that one is really more a question of when, not if. IMO anyway.

I would guess it would be released next year for the 30th anniversary of the film.

Well not only that I think also too when the team is about to confront Gozer, "Make 'em hard!" part. I don't recall that being on the score.

That's the last part of Marshmallow Terror.

shoot. Upon his return we should be good to go.

That said we
will not hold up our production line. Releases 251, 252, 253, etc. . .
will still be coming out in a timely manner. #250 will come out when its

I thought it was coming out in March... that just sucks.

3 CDs feels a bit long for a release where they have no reason (AFAIK) to include the original album assembly. Is there really 2 hours + of unreleased music?

MV has announced some details about their version of The Challenge

I'd thought the Prometheus release of The Challenge was complete. Obviously this re-release should have better packaging and liner notes (hurrah!), but can we also expect any significant improvement in sound quality or perhaps some alternate cues?

In any case it's nice that LLL is reissuing some of those out of print Prometheus Goldsmith titles. I listen to Rio Lobo a lot more now than I used to because of the superior LLL presentation.

Yavar

Improved on all fronts (then again, I'm biased having produced this reissue). Program is pretty much the same as Prometheus one. However, we did correct the end title (and we have the alternate end title as well as a bonus track)

La-La Land Records and NBC Universal our proud to present the soundtrack release to the epic SyFy Channel Special Event Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome. This prequel to the critically acclaimed hit series, Battlestar Galactica takes place in the midst of the First Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine escort mission with an enigmatic passenger (Lili Bordan) turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.

Blood & Chrome is the second prequel from the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica series. The first was Caprica, which aired from 2009-2010. Though it only lasted one season, the series and its music cultivated their own loyal following.

This is a limited edition cd of just 3000 units. La-La Land Records and Sony Computer Entertainment America present the original soundtrack CD to the all-new video game, God of War: Ascension™, the latest entry in the best-selling God of War® franchise.

ABOUT GOD OF WAR: ASCENSION
God of War: Ascension offers fans far more than a poignant reintroduction to the gaming superstar, Kratos; it delivers epic cinematic storytelling, breathtaking set pieces, and the most refined, satisfying gameplay to grace the series yet. Moreover, players can compete in thrilling multiplayer battles—a God of War first—that combine the fierce combat and scale of the franchise with a unique gameplay experience.

Acclaimed composer Tyler Bates (300, WATCHMEN, THE WAY, KILLER JOE) creates an exhilarating score that honors the integral ingredients of the God of War sound while expanding its scope in breathtaking fashion, employing everything from rich atmospherics and soaring themes to full-metal orchestra. The score was recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London. “The orchestra and choir knocked down every track with tremendous precision and verve,” said composer Bates. “In all, we had a blast at the sessions, which I hope you hear when you play the game and listen to the soundtrack!”

Produced for SCEA by Peter Scaturro and Joel Yarger, and mastered by Rob Beaton, this special CD release is limited to 3000 units and will be available March 12, 2013, at www.lalalandrecords.com and other online soundtrack boutique retailers. God of War: Ascension the game launches March 12, 2013, exclusively for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
