  1. Ergh! That's terrible. I listened to it once, and that was once too many.
  2. I can dig that. It's not for everyone. Most people think that SUPERGIRL, and LEGEND are masterpieces, but I'll take LINK and RUNAWAY over those two, any day. Horses for courses, dear boy. Horses for courses
  3. Goldsmith and Schaffner: a winning combination that most modern director/composer combos can't even hope to emulate.
  4. Agreed, @Thor. It reminds me of the cover of HERGEST RIDGE... only not as good.
  5. My 2-disc DVD of PATTON arrived, yesterday, so was listening to the score on disc 2. It's so good, that I have listened to it twice, today. How this meisterwerk lost the Oscar to LOVE STORY, I'll never know.
  6. A QQ regarding PATTON. Is the score on the audio channel of the DVD (the channel on the documentary, on the second disc) complete. If not, what's missing? It runs for approximately 32 minutes, which doesn't seem that long for a near three hour film. Just wondering
  7. Hmm. 'Sex In The Desert'. 90 seconds ago, I'd never heard of this show. Now, I want to see it. Badly.
  8. Got home today, and lo and behold, my package was waiting for me. Two 2-disc DVDs of PATTON (including the score on a separate audio track), and EMPIRE OF THE SUN.
  9. Didn't The Orb do a song called 'Little Fluffy Clouds'. Did Gilmour guest on that? I've not heard Wilson's remix of WET DREAM, but any Wilson remix is well worth listening to. What he's done for Yes, King Crimson, and XTC, is astonishing. I wish he would remix some Floyd. I'm getting a little bored with James Guthrie's style. Heck, I'd take Elliott Scheiner over Guthrie.
  10. PIRANHA 2: FLYING KILLERS is not at all bad, actually. The female lead is a proto-Ripley, in both looks, and character. Agreed. Did they try to get Furlong back, for DF? It would have been at least watchable, with him. Wh... Where's Mexico?
  11. He was the "inspiration" behind DF, he co-wrote the story, and he co-produced it. He's just as guilty as the rest of them. If box office is anything to go by, then, yes, he's still successful. Artistically, though, he peaked with THE ABYSS.
