The JWFan Office Pool 2012: When will HOOK sell out?

Spielberg is the best-selling director ever. And there is over an hour of never-before-released music.

Not really.

A decent bootleg has been there for more then a decade. Also Hook is one of Spielberg's lesser known films.

Hook is a terrible movie, I hope to never see it again. The score is Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I won't be purchasing this, I have Stefan's more than adequate Kira Nyrees release. it's even loaded on my mp3 player, but todate it has never been selected.

I grabbed 7 copies without a problem. Hope it sells out soon!

Oh Stefan and your "get nice profit schemes" of scalping huge sums at eBay for limited soundtrack albums from obsessive film music nerds!

according to the LALALAND website

HOOK is temporarily out-of-stock as the remaninder of the run is currently being pressed. Orders for this title will be processed and shipped when the CD arrives back in stock, which will be 1-2 weeks. Thanks for your patience and support

so they didn't press all 5000 at once.

Thanks!

We've known that for 3 days or so...

Well ET&Elliot4Ever, Incanus, The_Trout, and Hedji didn't win...

By the way, what CD will the winner be getting?

Sorry, if you already said that somewhere...

Nah, I would have won if they've pressed all 5000 at once...

Why, you still have a chance don't you? Didn't you say April 1st?

Oh I though they'll restart selling when they get the rest of the CDs...after 1-2 weeks...

No, they will accepting orders without interruption... they will continue shipping the CDs once the new batch arrives...

At least, that was how I took it.

LLL never stopped taking orders, you can order one from them right now!

3rd party retailers I think have to put up an out of stock message and not allow orders until they get their stock in, because they probably don't know how many copies LLL is actually going to sell them (those figures are probably dependent on how many copies LLL sells directly between now and when the second run is done)

And anyway, I don't think they even sold 3,700 copies yet.

They said these are "accounted for" and "spoken for," meaning some were sold yes, but the rest went to third party retailers.

Um, going to a 3rd party retailers IS a sale

For LLL sure, yes, of course, but I mean that we--the consumers--are still able to buy them from 3rd party retailers at the list price of 29.98. So even if it's technically sold out (for LLL), for us it's not sold out, as long as they are still available at these 3rd party retailers.

But yes, I understand that for this competition what counts is when it's sold out for LLL.

I bought this but I don't want it. At all. Ever.

I'm going to sell mine back to LLR at a later date, but I don't know when.

Therefore, it can never be sold out completely, because one person will always be able to buy it. From me.

Put that in your contest's pipe and smoke it.

Jason said the winner gets a free LLL's HOOK album, right?

That WAS the deal, right?

:P

Well he said:

Make your guess in this thread and the winner will receive a free CD from me. I have about 4-5 random film score CDs floating around that you can pick from.

Any information about this?

What do you mean? What information?

I think I sad it will last at least a month. Did it count as my guess?

Nope, you didn't follow the rules of the main post and pick a specific time.

The free CDs the winner can pick from include:

Danny Elfman - Planet of the Apes (OST)

Joel McNeely, conductor - Hollywood '95 (Compilation)

John Williams - Born On The Fourth Of July (OST)

Didn't you say we get to pick from 4 or 5 CDs?

I have the first and third CD, and the second I am not interested in.
