Never seen the movie, never heard the score. Love his First Blood though, but isn't II just more of the same?

Aliens is probably my favorite action score.

What? Rambo 2 is a rather different beast then First Blood, which had more suspense music then actual action music.

Rambo 2 has a load of balls to the wall, no holds bared cues that are among the best thing Goldsmith has done action wise.

Plus a kickass new theme.

Lee, watch the movie. It will appeal to your tastes when it comes to action extravaganza!

The movie isnt bad. Some great action stuff that impreses even today. Simplistic patriotism and politics ala Aliens which is rousing nevertheless. And actually a good cast.

Rambo 3 made the mistake of trying to be funny. All those buddy-movie puns between Rambo and Trautman.

Rambo 2 takes itself and it's simplistic message deadly seriously and is all the better for it.
