The Psycho Pianist 216
Princess Leia's theme - especially the rising high string line in the crescendo into the tutti instatement of the theme midway through. That is a stunning piece of writing. WilliamHorne97
JasonTHX 21
Love Theme From Superman has a similar structure. I love it when the strings seem to go off on their own path midway through, which all leads to that brass fanfare which just comes out of nowhere at the end, while every other instrument underneath tries to catch up and when they do - in that magnificent moment - it then all settles back down into a near whisper. I believe that's some of the absolute best 20 seconds of music JW has ever written.
Popular Post Ludwig 1,120
I've said it before and I'll say it again - "Indy's Very First Adventure" is a real tour-de-force that has just about everything you could want in a classic Williams cue. What an opening too! It pulls us right into the scene with an appropriate sense of holding our breath. Scarpia 132
I greatly enjoy all Williams output, and continue to learn from his music. I tend to think of Golden Age when dynamics of a certain period are not longer current, so I just don't feel is the case yet.
WilliamHorne97 16
I always thought Williams golden age started from Jaws and ended in the 90s. But he still creates amazing music Maybe when we go see Force Awakens he may never have left his Golden Age
Jay 37,339
Traditionally, Williams' Golden Age is considered to be 1975->1984; Jaws through Doom.
