mine has to be this https://youtu.be/SVycvLAFXmcEverything about it screams 'Golden Age'. Especially 2 minutes an onward. In fact the whole of Empire Strikes Back score feels like the Golden Age :)

Whats your guys tracks that sum up the 'Golden Age of Williams' ? :)

Love Theme From Superman has a similar structure. I love it when the strings seem to go off on their own path midway through, which all leads to that brass fanfare which just comes out of nowhere at the end, while every other instrument underneath tries to catch up and when they do - in that magnificent moment - it then all settles back down into a near whisper. I believe that's some of the absolute best 20 seconds of music JW has ever written.

Define Golden Age.

Yeah.

So far, based on the examples posted in the thread, it went (at least) from 1977 to 2001.

And beyond! We have all lived the JW golden age for decades now!

I greatly enjoy all Williams output, and continue to learn from his music. I tend to think of Golden Age when dynamics of a certain period are not longer current, so I just don't feel is the case yet.

I am pretty sure Williams' golden age ended the moment he wrote "Banning Back Home."

I honestly thought that was a source cue when I first heard it
