The Adventures of Tintin - Complete Cue List and Complete Score Analysis

I wouldn't necessarily update The Unicorn Theme to 3M35 and TNT to 3M40 just because of some file names some hacker found.  Who knows how it all works.

From everything we know, he recorded a score to an early cut of the film in 2010, then Spieberg practically re-edited the whole picture and JW wrote so many new cues and inserts he almost re-recorded the entire score.  Maybe some numbering is all wacky because the 2011 cues reflect a new cut of the film where different scenes appeared in different reels or whatever.  We just don't know

Ok, I've indicated those with an asterisk, but they seem plausible enough.

There are roughly 10 pages of score per minute of actual finished film, which must be a record!

Updated the GEMA list with the proper cue slates and titles and formatted it to look a bit nicer.

Anyone know what's up with the 'Introducing the Pattersons/Thompsons' discrepancy?

@Jay I'm curious why you think this is a revised version. I haven't found any changes from the original so far, other a middle section that's edited out.

I mean I don't think that now, you're quoting a post I made 11 years ago!

As far as why I thought 11 years ago that what you heard in the film was different from the sheets for that cue, I haven't the foggiest idea any more >shrug<  Maybe I got confused by the fact that it skipped some bars or something, who knows

I remember Spielberg talking about it before we saw anything.  He was amazed with the tech and talked about it being photo-real.  I just don't understand how people could literally think this.  Its weird almost to the point of delusion.

Avatar I can understand in certain scenes. Tintin? I mean, I guess it’s not as lifeless as The Polar Express.

in that case the problem for me is the character design. but i'm sure you can do those things in 2D and with both 2D/3D elements. just not what Spielberg may be used to doing.

2D Tintin wouldn't have been nearly as good because Spielberg wouldn't have been able to use the virtual camera system (he gets some crazy shots out of this)

Are you talking about the general camera movement though? That's not related to the image itself being in 3D is it? Rather SS's cinematography and general set design.

Anyone else think the pursuit of the falcon is Spielberg's best action scene from his post-2005 era? Sure, he didn't direct that many action scenes since then, but comparing with movies like KOTCS and RP1, the Bagghar chase is much more fun.

Being able to control the camera while filming rather than planning it all out in storyboard like usual with animation

I believe Spielberg has talked about how he likes being able to make spontaneous in-the-moment choices in terms of shot composition
