  1. ...and I'm the one that doesn't know what sarcasm is? Since 42 posts isn't enough to have an opinion on here, I guess I won't come back. I don't want to offend the regulars.
  2. Right, as if LOTR never had any strangely placed themes in it. Or do you think he didn't care about those scores too? If so, I'm not sure why I'm wasting time on you.
  3. All this for this... We're back to square one, as far as I'm concerned... Not that I expected him to provide us with satisfying answers regarding that, anyway. It's not like he could say something like "PJ made me do that... He didn't want to reuse that theme, he wanted to use that one..." But at least, we know that he has acknowledged it, and however 'false' his answers were we know that there really is no great mystery behind it. At least nothing that we can't guess.
  4. Well finally, after all of these years, our questions about the AUJ mysteries are answered. I can't believe he thinks that the AUJ soundtrack is complete though...travesty.
  5. [–]CatapaulonitDude 0 points 9 minutes ago I got hit by a bus today, could you say something to make me feel better? Huge fan! [–]Howard_Shore[S] 1 point just now Oh, I'm so sorry! I hope you're okay.
  6. [–]captainrothigans 3 points 9 minutes ago Howard, I loved your score for the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy. Some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard in a movie. My question to you is why was the Ringwraith theme played during the Thorin vs. Azog fight in An Unexpected Journey? [–]Howard_Shore[S] 1 point just now It was showing the connection to evil. And the relationship of these characters to Sauron.
  7. [–]IncidentOn57thStreet 8 points 50 minutes ago What's your proudest piece of work for all of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack? [–]Howard_Shore[S] 1 point just now Maybe The Destruction of Mordor.
  8. [–]Howard_Shore[S] 1 point 2 minutes ago 'I believe there's a Beorn piece in the extended version of the Desolation of Smaug. The CD release of An Unexpected Journey is very complete, I think.' This is disheartening...
  9. [–]Lindele 2 points 29 minutes ago Thank you for giving us this incredible 6 film opera...it has been such an inspiration in my life. -Can you explain the absence of the Misty Mountain theme in the second two Hobbit films? I for one, would spend any amount to get the Complete Recordings for The Hobbit! Even if there is just a little bit more than what the Special Editions had to offer...can't get enough! [–]Howard_Shore[S] 1 point just now I think that theme had to do with the quest of the Dwarf Group, and was very much related to the story of An Unexpected Journey. And I think I answered that earlier. Well, he made me look stupid. Guess I should've asked a better question!
  10. 'The King Kong score is part of the archive, and we're going back into the archive, and looking at past works, and seeing if we can have them out to the public. So possibly.'
