Gnome in Plaid 219
According to Wikipedia, John Williams (at some point) has used some form of graphic notation, although that fact isn't sourced. Could anybody give me a clue as to where to find an example of this?
filmmusic 1,799
I doubt that whoever wrote the wikipedia article, is sure that Williams used graphic notation, but maybe he assumed so from listening to some atonal stuff..But anyway, some sparing use you can see in Images.Although, I wouldn't call someone who has used this notation sparingly, a practitioner. Sharkissimo 1,973
I haven't seen graphic notation in any Williams score I've studied. There's aleatoric notation yes, but that's not the same thing. In fact, the only example of graphic notation in film music (that I've seen) was a cue from Lalo Schifrin's score for THE HELLSTROM CHRONICLE.
