Being in self-isolation and having to do therapeutic exercises due to a medical condition from 8 months ago, I find the following cues by the Maestro helping to make these exercises easy to get through. Which of his cues would you play during your workout/therapy? I'm trying to limit it to 10 tracks. THE IMPERIAL MARCH - TESB ONE BARREL CHASE - JAWS SUPERMAN MARCH - STM TO THORNWOOD - JANE EYRE HERE THEY COME! - SW ANH TO SCARBOROUGH - DRACULA RAIDERS MARCH - ROTA MARCH FROM"1941" MAN TITLES - TOWERING INFERNO ATTACK ON THE WATER SKIER - JAWS2

I don't know if this post already exists, but I thought why not create a post regarding Maestro Williams' concert pieces written for his films that you never tire of hearing. So, here we go: 1. "The Imperial March (Darth Vader's Theme" from "The Empire Strikes Back" 2. "Out To Sea" from "JAWS" 3. "Star Wars" Main Theme (includes End Titles) 4. "March From Superman - The Movie" 5. "Theme From Catch Me If You Can" 6. "Raiders March" from "Raiders Of The Lost Ark" 7. "The Dance Of The Witches" from "Witches Of Eastwick" 8. "Overture to The Cowboys" 9. "Men Of The Yorktown March" from "Midway" 10. "Hedwig's Theme" from "Harry Potter Films"

Back in July 2018 I replied as follows: For me these are my top 10 in preference order" 1. The Imperial March. I can listen to this track without ever getting board. 2. Main Title Theme from Jaws (Original 1975 album version) 3. March/Main Title From Superman 4. Raiders March 5. Love Theme from Jane Eyre 6. "Battle In The Snow" from The Empire Strikes Back 1980 LP 7. The Conversation from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" 8. One Barrel Chase from "Jaws" (Film version) 9. Hedwig's Theme 10. Main Title and The Storm from "Dracula" I am revising my list as such, once again in order of my preference not chronology: (Revisions in Red) While some of the tracks are the some, there are some position shifts. 1. The Imperial March. I can listen to this track without ever getting board. 2. Main Title Theme from Jaws (Original 1975 album version). 3. March/Main Title From Superman 4. Love Theme from Jane Eyre 5. Raiders March 6. The Conversation from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" 7. "Battle In The Snow" from The Empire Strikes Back 1980 LP 8. Desert Chase from "Raiders" especially when he fight the last Nazi soldier. 9. Conspirators from "JFK" (new to the list) 10. Dracula's Death from 2018 "Dracula" Release (new to the list)

I'm not complaining about their omission. I merely pointed out their Omission. I understand the "legalities" involved in their inclusion on the new CD. Perhaps in a "unicorn and rainbows" alternate world every note of everyone's favorite composer, whomever that may be, is being released for public consumption.
-
I noticed that the new CD does not include the vocal versions of the song "Love's The Only Game In Town" performed separately by the film's stars Carol Burnett and Walter Matthau. I have those saved on a thumb drive. I always favored the Mrs. Burnett version as she displays the vocal range of a singer vs. Mr. Matthau's which is more of a "speak" version of the song.

What is this motif heard in the Binary Sunset Alternate cue?
finalscore replied to DarthDementous's topic in JOHN WILLIAMS
I always liked Binary Sunset and I place it in my chrono listing for STAR WARS A NEW HOPE immediately after "Tales of a Jedi Knight". I re-titled it "DEATH STAR Conference" and imagine it playing under the scene where Grand Moff Tarkin, Darth Vader and the other Imperials Officials debate the power of the Death Star. You know the scene where Vader "strangles" the official who berates Vader for his inability to locate the missing data. I have never tried to watch the film using the track during that scene. Has anyone else tried using the cue at that part of the film? -

One of my favorite themes composed for the Star Wars series. I have pieced together moments of the theme from Return of the Jedi to create this "concert" version. Also included is a piece of music from one of the best scenes in the entire canon, at one time one of the most requested "unreleased" cues. Enjoy. Emporer_Theme.wav

Just removed snow from my residence as I was listening to the music from the Star Wars films. As I was removing the snow from my vehicle the cue "Battle In The Snow" (Battle of Hoth) began. While this is one of my favorite tracks that Mr. Williams has written for the series, I "sensed" some irony of the title as I had my own personal "Battle In The Snow", with Mother Nature's deposit of winter wonder. Anyone else have any other snow removal moments that John Williams' music brought to mind?

Criticism well taken. So in the spirit of competition and open mindedness, let's see what you can come up with using your own analysis as a guide. -
The Force Awakens Kylo Ren's Theme - Concert Suite

My second attempt at a concert suite of the theme. I used more of the End Titles medley to give it more thematic feel. 31Kylo Ren's Theme.mp3 -
The Force Awakens The Force Awakens SPOILERS ALLOWED Discussion Thread
finalscore replied to Jay's topic in General Discussion
In an earlier post I had state that both Rey and Kylo Ren might be siblings. Upon repeated review of the score, and I may be reading more into this than it is, Rey might be the offspring of the Emperor. Listen to the first few notes of Rey's Theme and they resemble the first few notes of the Emperor's Theme. Like I said I may be reading more into it than there is. What do you think? -
This is my first attempt at creating a "concert suite" of "Kylo Ren's Theme" which I pieced together from moments in the score. More work will need to be done, but here is is for now.31Kylo Ren's Theme.mp3
