  1. Thanks for reminding me to check Sheetmusic plus for it. And finally it was there, so I ordered a copy. https://www.sheetmusicplus.com/en/product/star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-suite-for-orchestra-deluxe-score-22621443.html
  2. Book ready to preorder at Omni music https://omnimusicpublishing.com/product/john-powells-how-to-train-your-dragon-the-hidden-world-full-orchestral-score/
  3. I bought this set in the fall of 1994, at the Tower records store downtown NY while on tour with the Montreal Symphony. It was a total surprise as I wasn’t following anything soundtrack related at the time. I couldn’t wait for the tour to be over so I could go home and listen to it. I love this set.
  4. There is absolutely no way in hell it's the same orchestra playing all the shows....Unless they have no union in Japan. But we have rules in our contracts that would prevent this from happening where i work. And most likely in any North American orchestra.
  5. Did he not perform the little Rey theme bit on TROS? I know it's not much, but still cool he played it for the movie.
  6. The likely explanation is that the 5th player was assisting the first one. And also probably covering other parts of the section. To give other people a break.
  7. Great podcast. Really enjoyed your insights @Jay
  8. Bad news from Amy ‘Ah yes, they've got it listed as out 1-3 weeks....but they are getting it from Hal (Pepper is a major Hal Leonard dealer), and they are waiting like everyone else. Unfortunately, it's not going to be 1-3 weeks, as it's not even approved for press, yet. Sadly, this item is brand new, and isn't available to anyone at the moment. Thank you for the extra info! Amy
  9. Here’s the reply I received Amy S. (Sheet Music Plus) Aug 7, 2023, 9:03 AM PDT Hello Sheet Music Plus is a division of Hal Leonard, so we should have everything that Hal Leonard, for the most-part. Looking at Hal's system, and also ours, the John Williams Signature Edition of Rise of Skywalker has not yet been approved for publication; from what I can tell, it can't even be preordered, yet. Can you find the item that you were looking at on the other Hal site, and send me the item number? I'm seeing the "Suite for Orchestra", score/parts as item 4492547. The stand-alone deluxe score is 4492548.
