The Adventures of Tintin - For Your Consideration Promotional CD

The FYC promo is supposed to include music "as heard in the film", so there is no comparison to be done, is there?

Yes that is the case here. The FYC album has all the music as heard in the film, edits and all so there really isn't anything to add. Jason has done a quite extensive break-down and analysis of the score as a whole. You can check it out here: http://www.jwfan.com...is&fromsearch=1

I just wanna say, I love that the FYC has almost all the music in the film.

My favourite part is when Tintin's Secondary Theme is played when he holds Thom(p?)son's elastic wallet.

Besides Pursuit of the Falcon, it's my favourite statement of both of Tintin's themes.

I'm not sure if this has been pointed out yet, but the drum is different in the FYC (movie) version. It seems louder and there is an added part not in the OST.

Do you mean Introducing the Thompson's and Snowy in Pursuit? The whole performance of the Thompsons segement is new, the orchestrations are notably different plus it contains a lot of unreleased music. I like it more than the OST version actually as it is even more humorous.

Also the Adventures of Tintin has a more prominent drum kit mix.

Ah, yes I meant "The Adventures of Tintin".

But the drum is different! It is louder, but there is an added part.

Compare 0:40-0:47 and 1:22-1:34 (Both FYC) with the OST version.

They have an added drum part. I don't know what to call it.

Well it is just a more prominent drum kit part.

And Stefan, calm down. You can quite easily compile OST and FYC into a nice listening experience with minimal editing. Of course if you can't abide some film edits then it will be a bigger problem.

IT'S ALL A MESS! It CAN"T BE FIGURED OUT!

HEEEELP....HEEEEELPPP!!!

I feel pretty much the same

I'm determined to wait the decades that are necessary for this to be figured out by those who have the information and the music.

Can somebody tell me why, exactly, I've spent a good portion of my weekend creating hybrid OST/FYC versions of the tracks 'The Thompsons And Snowy's Chase', 'Captain Haddock Takes The Oars' and 'The Flight To Bagghar'?

I know I'm late to this conversation but I have been trying to purchase this FYC for a couple of weeks now but nothing popped up on ebay :/

Anyone here who wants to sell his?

I'm also scared to buy a fake one on ebay :S

It's pretty unlikely you'll find someone here willing to part with one.  Its a pretty rare item!

If you're just interested in listening to it, you can find it online.

As expected :S

Maybe one will turn up on eBay again...

It's sad that FYC's are not commercially available.

I have it in FLAC but I wanted a physical copy or at least one with a 100% ripping log.

It was originally released on cassette, if you can believe it.  I have this waiting and ready to go.  $500 and it's yours.
