Yeah, Doyle's theme is the best of the lot. Followed by Silvestri's Captain America theme.


The theme is quite bland too.

On a compositional level maybe. But it's such a powerhouse of awesomeness. Especially in the latter parts of the film, starting with it's big "I'm always angry" moment.

I like the end credits variation.

Elfman's reworking of the theme sounds promising.

Silvestri's theme might be simple but that's actually a good thing here. You can use a fragment of it (like Elfman did) and immediately know what it is. It's a grower.

I've said this before on this MB, but Silvestri's theme sounds almost like a parody. It's too obvious, too predictable. It terms of what it conveys, it actually reminds me of this:

That's actually more the case with his Captain America theme. But in that case, it's intentional and works quite well in context.
