  1. LOL, what? I think you're reading more into my question then there is. Why the need to be so defensive? But you're right, I'm not acclimated to how this board works nowadays, and I'm not sure I want to be. So this is me leaving again.
  2. I don't really post at all in these forums anymore, but reading this thread just makes me wonder about something I see in several boards; why is it that Zimmer fans always seem to resort to personal insults against those who don't like him?
  3. Thanks. My DAW is just my comp I use for everything else - It's an i7 920 @2.67 ghz, with 16gb ram. All samples streamed from a single SSD. for programs I use an old sequencer called "voyetra record producer" - I think it's abandonware now - with kontakt 4 and Adobe Audition. Can't really recommend making music the way I do - There are better programs like Cubase, that I really should start using. I'm just very comfortable in Record Producer.
  4. If you're just starting out with samples, I'd also recommend Sonatina http://sso.mattiaswestlund.net/ it's pretty good considering it's free
  5. About ripping the music from those .tor files, I have no idea to do that - however, regarding the soundtrack cd, erm - check your PM
  6. I just got the CE today - The tracks on the soundtrack cd that came with it are not the same as those posted on youtube (so far), so quite a bit of the original music seems to get released.
  7. It may not be super easy to rip the music from the game - as all assets seem to be packed into something called .tor files
  8. I didn't even think about doing it that way - don't hold it against me, but I do believe there are volume sliders for SFX, music and dialogue. Might be problematic with the battlemusic though, as you'd have to keep the battle going long enough to get the whole piece.
  9. During the betatesting I've definitely heard some music I haven't heard before - and I'm not confusing it with the original new music written for the game, there's a distinct sound difference.
  10. Got to love CineBrass He did a damn good job with 1941 mockup as well. can't wait till I scrape the last money together to get PRO (not that it's not fairly priced, and taking into account the percentage going to the musicians and everything) speaking of cinebrass and superman, I haven't posted this anywhere as I feared it may not do CineBrass justice, but I tried doing a mockup of the march with just the 4 articulations patches from core, still a WIP: http://www.box.com/s/9achh36eirt64vdb81kd I forgot to use the sus pedal for legato in the beginning though >_<
  11. Yeah, cinebrass is pretty good - but not quite there yet. It'll be interesting to hear how good Hollywood Brass will be.
  12. I used Cinematic Strings, VSL woodwinds, Project SAM True Strike and Cinebrass. oh, and if anyone want it in Lossless just let me know.
  13. I've given "Baby Lifts Lorry A" a shot (hope it's the right alternate one?) it has the "Entrance" part before it though - seemed so short otherwise. http://www.box.net/shared/8zf1pmmraek9n18ovfd4
  14. ZREO actually knocked Valtonen for this? Pft, Valtonen actually knows music unlike most of those guys over at ZREO that just take sampled loops and phrases and put them on midis they didn't even make themselves. Sorry, have some bad history there:/ on the note of Nintendo music, here's a piece o'crap:P http://www.box.net/shared/ekvz239q0a
  15. Nice! Didn't even know they did that:) I'm getting all nostalgic for point and click adventures. noob question: how do you put those audio players in a thread? not the youtube things - the other ones?
