  1. I haven’t either. And I adore Star Trek. I just like to take each show as it comes.
  2. Maybe you’ll get to listen to the head, the tail, the whole damn thing.
  3. It would be really nice to call attention to the preservation efforts and bring some awareness to the “normies”. And of course, Matessino would reciprocate and graciously acknowledge the importance of such work. More general awareness would be a benefit to the projects yet to be futureproofed.
  4. Both are excellent. Your description of Quinto isn’t inaccurate, but it served the story and cinematic storytelling pace. Peck is ultimately more endearing and suitable for the long form narrative of episodic television. Ultimately, I’d probably tip the scale in favor of Peck, but he’s had the advantage of more screen time, and stories that allow him to show more of Spock’s charming character facets.
  5. When is the April streaming date? Perhaps they are “officially” sold out so that fence sitters and procrastinators will be more inclined to purchase it digitally. I mean, it’s almost April already, and a “sell out” could boost digital sales. Then months later they can find more inventory after the demand for the physical cd has time to skyrocket. It’s what I would do if sales slowed to a trickle.
  6. I love it. It’s daring to be different than the first score. I think the (admittedly hokey) Native American motifs are lovely, and the action music with choir is pretty thrilling. Some powerful writing for trombone in the climax.
  7. Wowww! Outstanding and thank you for sharing the finished work but your process also. Bravo!
  8. @Steffromuk That Star Wars Anthology cover is masterful! I've seen that Tom Jung art as a b&w sketch. Did you color it, or did you find a color source? I love it.
  9. Thanks, Thor. I was eyeing those director compilations as well. Although I have yet to check how much of those are duplicated on the box set.
  10. I wonder if this is a good entry level purchase? Philippe Sarde Box Set
  11. @Thor @filmmusic I wouldn’t mind exploring Sarde, beyond his American films (Ghost Story, Tess, Quest for Fire, Manhattan Project) but it’s hard to navigate when he’s so prolific and I don’t speak French, nor do I know the films.
  12. He can’t stay down with three barrels on him. Not with three he can’t.
