John Ottman - X-Men: Days of Future Past

Ottman won't use Jackman's theme.

I wouldn't be so sure. He used the same ideas for Mistique as Kamen did, and we know he's used previously established themes before. I don't think they'll be any big statements of the stuff Jackman did, but I wouldn't mind Magneto's stuff from FC to be referenced.

Too bad Powell isn't scoring this, would be a good return to live action action scoring.

For a movie about time travel I'm surprised they didn't find a way to work them in. Probably could have inspired some rather emotion scenes.

It's just a cameo, the First Class Beast will be in the majority of scenes.

Not according to the cast list on IMBD.

Wait a minute. Are you saying there is some WRONG information on the Internet? No way.

Surprising that they got so many people to return. These films are awful.

No they are not.

You're surprised a lot of actors probably took a nice paycheck for a couple of days work? This is mostly a First Class sequel, all the others are just there to try to bolster ticket sales, sorry, establish the story.

As I said before, it's also a tool to completely reboot the universe and recast roles for future films. That's time travel magic for ya!

I don't know -- why ask questions about characters and details if you don't even give a fuck?

Well, it is or it isn't. But it would have been nice to have some kind of continuity. I guess his theme/motif wasn't dark enough for this film?

I don't know for sure if Ottman completely abandoned his material, but it seems that that is the case for the most part. In any case, the score is nothing like the other one in terms of style.

Good!

I find most of X-Men 2 quite boring. Don't think his theme is particularly good either. I'd welcome a 'reinvention'.
