What was your first encounter with Jerry Goldsmith?
crocodile replied to GerateWohl's topic in General Discussion
My first conscious experience with Goldsmith's music was going to see The Mummy with friends back in 1999. I wasn't necessarily a fan right off the bat, but I definitely noticed the music in the film and it stuck in my head. Before that, I was obviously familiar with his Enterprise theme from TNG shows. My first Goldsmith album was Star Trek: Insurrection which I bought somewhere in 2001. Karol -

He was also supposed to be the original Phantom before being replaced with Michael Crawford. RIP Karol

Mimic. Marco Beltrami is a composer whose output I find all over the place. But when he's good, he's really good. There are some scores of his that are absolutely essential and this is definitely one of them. Elegant and seductive horror score. Karol -

What Is The Last Film You Watched? (Older Films)
crocodile replied to Mr. Breathmask's topic in General Discussion
Watched The Mask of Zorro last night on the 4K Blu-ray. Despite some of the anachronisms of its era, it is a delightful film. Charming, well-paced and scored. I had a blast. Karol -

A friend of mine, not from our community, recommended this score to me. It's quite pretty actually. Karol
