What kind of TV do you own?

I'd recommend this. It's advertised with an IPS panel, which I think is the key to a good LCD TV (to me a clearly visible difference in image quality)

Anyways if my older LG broke I'd get one of those

I had a 32" Sony LCD that I always liked. It wasn't the biggest or the best by any means, but it suited me and my Blu-rays always looked good. I recently learned that criminals invaded the old man's house and the TVs were taken along with other electronics. It's not a big deal. The John Williams collection remains. However, I abandoned all material possessions years ago to spend the rest of my life going to Disneyland, so does it really matter?

LED is the same as LCD, just different backlighting and flashier marketing. OLED is too expensive and only found in high end shops (at least in Australia) to be considered an option at this point.

And plasma has been cleared out in stores here.

Isnt that a myth?

Again, all the TV reviewers say Plasma is the better technology but LCD is slowly getting there. However, LCD is cheaper to make and most people don't care about quality.

For now only OLED is supposedly superior. Drax has to quit dreaming about vintage Trinitron and go for OLED.

Oled blue pixels degrade faster, so after using your TV for a year the colors will be off balance. This is very difficult to re-calibrate. Also oled can apparently have burn in

and the curved screen is a terrible idea

I'm gonna be honest. The best TV I've ever had was a Sony flat screen tube television from the early-mid 2000s. You know, one of those big bastards that you'd walk into Circuit City and see the Terminator 2 Extreme Edition being advertised on.

LCD TV's are made to last about 5 years and are cheap as hell now. just get a the best LCD you can find and dump it in 5 years when OLED is good

In the old days when you bought a new TV you expected it to last for 15 to 20 years!

Because its Björk, who is fucking mental, its hard to decide if she is taking the piss of not!

Good to see an old fashioned digital watch like that. They are out of style in favor of those newfangled ones with hands, which always take longer to work out what time it is.

I own a westinghouse without a power cord. Some how the only thing we cannot find is the box with its powercord, an LG blu ray player, remotes, and a really nice power strip. I've order a new power cord. It's the tv in the spare bedroom so it's not likely to be watched often.

All the kitchen stuff is here thankfully. We only have one box tv now but I have no place for it.
