Star Trek Voyager - two 4CD sets from La-La Land

Just revealed by MV over on the FSM forums

Look at our Trek releases like Disney's Marvel film rollout - 2 times a year, about 6 -8months apart

Voyager is a 2014 release

So he's referring to the fact that 2011 had Star Trek: TNG set; 2012 had Star Trek: TMP and the TOS boxset; 2013 had the DS9 set and will have one other, so far unrevealed title. People in the FSM thread are guessing it's a set for Star Trek: Enterprise.

MV's two-a-year quote was talking about his own label, not what other labels are doing

I would guess that Insurrection will come out on GNP this year and Nemesis is hopefully in the works at Varese but who really knows

Nemesis is owned by Varese, La-La Land cannot expand it.

True... don't know what I was thinking, since my reasoning was the remaining release this year couldn't be Insurrection as that's owned by GNP...

The Year of Hell

This one. "Scorpion" would be good, too.

The DS9 set has impressed me so much that now I'm really looking forward to this one. Voyager's always needed better treatment.

Hoping for Scorpion part 1 and 2

Yes!

Along with a lot of other great episodes I can think of. This is definitely good news. I just hope that there aren't pieces we want left off like the DS9 set...

I bet ya Insurrection will be out in time for Christmas, that's just my guess but I have a strong feeling about that.

I dunno why people wouldn't want Nemesis on CD. The whole collection of the first 10 films needs to be COMPLETE. Although I'm happy with the boot, despite it missing two important cues. If Varese does Nemesis they better include EVERYTHING.

Well you know what I meant... I wish Varese would let Intrada or LLL release Nemesis, then we would at least make sure everything is there...

I'm eagerly awaiting for Star Trek Insurrection to come out. I can't wait to hear the entire film version for "Inside The Collector".

Also, some additional Trek news to make @BloodBoal mad

We'll be sending over the track listing to post on one of the Trek Websites soon.

In the meantime, our plan over the next 18 months for Trek is as follows:

DS9 Volume 2 - 3rd qtr 2017

Voyager Volume 2 - 1st qtr 2018

Unknown Trek Collection featuring:

Disc 1 - TNG - leftovers
Disc 2 - DS9 - leftovers
Disc 3 - Voyager - leftovers
Disc 4 - Enterprise - leftovers

Probably by Summer 2018 we will be saying our final goodbye to Trek. I think roughly after 9 cds from each series we will have covered just about all the amazing music from this incredible Universe...unless we decide to do something crazy like Season by Season Box sets! lol

LLAP,

No, not at all. It was used in the underscore much like the Courage fanfare in TNG and the DS9 theme. Typically an episode opens and closes with a rendition of it, and many times it's stated after a commercial break, external shot of the ship, etc.

Ah okay, i thought i read that somewhere on a trek site years ago...

Can you point out some cool appearances of the voyager theme in the episode scores? I only know the main title and end title arrangements.

The ending of Basics part II, when Voyager returns to the planet contains a pretty good full statement, other than that I don't really know. Haven't watched the show for years and there hasn't been a lot of Voyager music released.

Usually underscore quotations of main series themes tend to be quite short anyway. Very rarely did the whole Voyager or DS9 theme get a rendition.

Fuck ya for Volume 2 releases for DS9 and Voyager later this year. I'm gonna get both for sure.

Can't wait to get this Voyager set end of the month.

Hopefully if I'm able to on Tuesday I'll finally get TNG Volume 2 release. Then I'll just need Volume 2 for Enterprise and will be caught up.

MV's post clearly says that Volume 2 of Voyager is planned for 2018.

As with all LLL autographed releases, you get a bonus free booklet that is autographed, along with the original one shrinkwrapped inside the CD set.
