I haven't seen any of the Underworld movies. Or any of the Resident Evils. Plus the Fast and Furious car movies.

There's some movie franchises I just know to stay away from.

You're not missing anything with the first two series you mentioned.  I've seen the first in each, and their terrible.  But the FF movies look like fun.  I've seen the first couple, the others look watchable with some exciting stuff.

You're the only one trying to keep that "joke" going.  Have fun.

Drax, on the other hand, genuinely liked the film and has expressed interesting in seeing the sequels.

Paul Thomas Anderson and Daniel Day-Lewis looking to reunite!

The film would revolve around the fashion industry in 1950s New York.

You even commented on it when it was posted

Daniel Day-Lewis probably playing a eccentric gay designer. I can already see him receiving his next Oscar!

Did I suggest anywhere that he should have done so?  I am explaining how I found the post . Took me literally 2 seconds.

But you must have remembered that Alex talked about this new film earlier, right? Or do you randomly do checks on members and point out their fallibility?

I remembered that we already talked about the new PTA / DDL collab on this forum, yes.  I did not remember which specific members were involved, no.

By the way, speaking of that there was an update on it recently. Focus Features/Universal bought the distribution rights and he's apparently hoping to both film and release it next year. Also it'll take place in London, not New York.

I love most of PTAs work, but I can't say I'm excited about anything to do with the fashion industry, especially the fashion of 1950s London.  But maybe he'll surprise me.

Yeah, the settings are always just a backdrop for character studies. I wouldn't normally be that interested in something like this either but I feel like he's bound to find some unusual angle on it. His POV is always so unique.

Boogie Nights did work on a novelty level though, until the darker final act. There's a comedy to it, and not just the funky porn stuff. Remember the crazy drug dealer out of Raiders and the kid who liked to make loud cracking noises on the floor?
