I must ask: tell me where and in what game did Ronaldo dive or simultate anything?

He dove in the box the last game, right after the goal. Was not even touched. Dove on the cross for the header, later in the game he did it again. I can remember at least 4 dives last game. quality player otherwise.

Forget about it, Romão...only the losers cry about penalities and any other things that aren't really important in football.

Good sportsmanship is not important?

Totti should be put against a wall and shot.

The finale is tomorrow, it will be won by France who will bitch-slap Italy and make it scream like a little girl.
Because France has a flag identical to ours, only up side down.

Today's the consilation final for the 3rd and 4rth place. May Portugal thank Germany for it's hospitality over the last few weeks, by kicking it ass!

I was hoping Brazil would win this, after they lost, I backed Portugal because I find their Gene Hackman lookalike coach amusing (yea I know he won the Cup with Brazil 4 years ago). Now...darn.

Well, we became World Champion 1990 in Italy, so it would only be appropriate if Italy won in Germany.

Moreso, 1990 in Italy: Germany wins the cup, Italy wins 3rd place.
Now 2006 in Germany: Italy... ?, Germany... ?

Totti should be put against a wall and shot.

Why?

Is it because he spit in the face of that Danish player? (I hated Totti for that)
Is it because of that bizarre penalty he shot against you at Euro 2000?
Is it because of he did'nt miss the penalty against Australia?
Is it because he's from Rome and players from Rome are arrogant?
Or is it because the foul he did against Germany?

You should at least give a reason.

The Wrath of Kahn, lol! His last game, as it seems he will retire.

And wow, what a finale game for him. 3 marvelous goals, all Schweinsteiger. Where the hell was he in the game against italy? Perfectly shows that this team can do exceptionally well without the overpraised Ballack.

No complaints from me on that one.

I'll have to give gkgyver's question some thought. One of my favourite moments was Francesco Totti's penalty for Italy against Australia - not the rights or wrongs of the decision itself, but when the camera zoomed in on Totti's eyes as he prepared to take the penalty, having waited what seemed like an eternity while the Australians remonstrated with the referee. Whether or not people like him or his team, to take that penalty in his circumstances took real bottle. It was like something from a Sergio Leone western - all it lacked was Ennio Morricone's music in the background. :P
His mouth is full of bees!

You guys must be happy...you spent the majority of this World Cup time talking about diving, and there you got a great dive by Zidane. There was any contact with Materazzi, it has been shown by at least 3 cameras.

But it's OK, we're playing better. It's enough. We're suffering (althought France didn't have any clear occasion), but I'm sure France isn't calm either.

We'll see. :P

The real loser is Zinedine Zidane, his final transgression will be what he will be remembered for.

As for tonights game, overall it was a travesty, but the same can be said for the level of football for this entire tournament.

At last it's finally over.

Ok the World Cup is finished, so I'm changing the designation and purpose of this thread.

Bats.

Average B-film starring Lou Diamond Phillips, Dina Meyer and Bob Gunton.
Bats, the result of a government experiment gone wrong, have suddenly become intelligent, vicious, and omnivorous, and are attacking people near Gallup, Texas. Bat specialist Sheila Casper and her assistant Jimmy are brought in but can they stop the bats before the military comes in and, in their ignorance, makes things worse?

Some decent special effects, but during the scenes of bat attacks they made far to frantic use of shaking camera's and quick cut, so you could not really see anything.

Not unrewarding TV fare.

It's not even the first time he does something like that.

When in Juventus, he took a red card and some matches of disqualification after a similar act in Champions League.

He confirmed once again the unfair asshole he's always been. Same as Nedved (did something similar at least twice). Those have a loser soul, because they're people who had won too much in their career, and the first time they feel they're losing, they totally lose their head.
