Of course, there'd still be the problem of Beorn being mention in LOTR...
Was Beorn mentioned in the films? I don't recall that.
Not in the films, no. But in the book.

I just checked. Quite easily. A little bobbing back and forth but it stays on.Thank you Faleel for picking up on Beorn. He is the "other" character I implied.
I'd like to know how a giant eagle puts a crown onto his head and keeps it there all the time.

I think music is a stream of some kind. It could be blood. It could be water. It could be ether. Whatever it is it seems to be a living, organic force that’s in motion, that serves humanity and is part of humanity and part of what describes us as humans. We sing, play, dance, all the things that we do. And there is a vibrant and great literature we have been given. ... As musicians, we join the stream. We swim in the stream with all the other millions of music makers. It’s a life force, a strong one, surrounding us and we are part of it. -John Williams-

It could have feathers that apparent being a sort of crown on its head. Kind of a dinosaur inspired solution.

So...what happens when a non-king eagle is born with those feathers on its head? Does the real king just chew them out?

The thing is, with eagles, you've got two types of kings: the "Born Kings" and the "Crowned Kings". The "Born Kings" are eagles that are born with those type of feathers on the head. The "Crowned Kings" are eagles that were given feathers to be put on their head. During the eagles history, there often existed two kings at the same time, a Born King and a Crowned King. Sometimes, it was one and the same (a Born King which was given even more feathers to put on his head). But the problem, as you can all see, is that eagles had to choose between two kings to follow. So, which one did they follow? Well, some historians think that they only followed the king with the more feathers (which is, as you would all notice, a bit stupid, since an eagle with more feathers is heavier, and have more difficulties to fly). But the truth is, eagles always followed Crowned Kings, and never Born Kings. Born Kings were only regent of themselves. A Born King could only gives order to himself. Only once did eagles followed a Born King. It was in 2,000 B.C. (Before Curunir). Their last Crowned King had died, and they were out of feathers to crown a new one. They had no choice but to follow an eagle called Falcon, who was a Born King. Falcon The Eagle was remembered as the worst regent the world of eagles has ever seen. But he was remembered fondly by Born Kings, that's for sure.
Well, that's all for today, folks. Tomorrow, we'll learn more about snails' reproduction system in Arda. See you tomorrow!

A very intriguing theory, however your timeline is messy. 2000 B.C.?! Come on BloodBoal...since when did Christ walk the grounds of Arda? And I think you forgot to mention to the great prophecy of the Born King. It is said that a Born King shall rise to either destroy the entire eagle race and bring it to ruin, or to rise and lead the eagles to gain dominance over Middle-Earth. Most eagles like to believe the former while the Born Kings obviously like to believe the latter. Personally, I think the prophecy was just made up propoganda nonsense to inspire more hatred towards the Born Kings. I believe the prophecy was spread by the Crowned Kings right after the fall of Falcon The Eagle. No, no, no, no, no. You guys got it all wrong!

No, no, no, no, no!
Everybody on these boards has earned their nickname, whether it be the Merciful One, the Englishman, Wojo Jojo, Shaky Chaac, or even El Don. But one does not decide what one's nickname will be. Fate decides. You are not The Thirsty until fate decides otherwise, hornist.
Why are you asking about this anyway? Are you jealous of people with nicknames? May I remind you that you are one of the rare members with, not one, but TWO nicknames: Finnish Tintin and Finnish Boy N°2. The only other member with two nickname is the other Finnish dude around here, Incanus, which is known as Finnish Boy, but also as Old Ink.
So, don't be jealous of people who have something you don't have, because actually, you have twice what they have! And, who knows? Fate might give you a third nickname one day!

The golden crown was a gift from the Dwarves, I mean a literal crown you put on your head. No feathers, a metal substance formed into a circlet with possible decorations placed on a person's and or beast's head.i was going to mention that birds can have feathery crowns-crests...
but i was beaten to it!

You mentioned “my movie” earlier. Is that something you’re actively working on?
I’ve been working on this screwball idea all my life, and here I am at this point of my life and I’m looking at what’s going on, and I’m not seeing anyone really understanding the implications of high-frame rate, giant screens, higher brightness, and what I would call extremely immersive cinematic experiences. So I’ve decided I’ve got to direct again because no one else is going to do it for me. The movie I’m developing is a science-fiction space movie; I’m trying to pick up where I think 2001 left off. I’ve been writing screenplays and developing technology to do it. I’ve actually built a stage on my property here in Massachusetts where I’m experimenting with 3-D at 120 frames a second projected on a deeply curved hemispheric screen that is silver, so it reflects the light back to the audience. It’s three times the brightness of a normal movie. I want to make something that goes as far into this very intense immersive experience for the audience that I possibly can. I want the audience to feel like they’re with us on an adventure in deep space, so we’re going to use the highest resolution, the highest frame-rate, the biggest screens, the greatest brightness, the best color saturation — everything we can possibly do to make this experience indistinguishable from reality. I’m even wanting to make a theater that’s more like a holodeck than a theater. It’s going to have this profoundly experiential element to it, where it’s going to be okay for the actors to look at the camera and recognize the presence of the audience in the scene. It it’s successful, the audience will actually be in the movie — not looking at the movie. And so I feel like an explorer looking into the future of experiential cinema, and I’ve got to take it as far as I can take it.
This guy's great. I want to see that.

Although I would prefer that the translator had left Tolkien's poetry in the rhyme form that it is originally. A person who is doing a translation should not add things such as classic meters to the material when there is no evidence of it in the original text. That is just forcing ideas outside the author's intention into the translation. Latin could easily rhyme but I guess such things are beneath this high and mighty translator Mark Walker.
It is the same as translating Lord of the Rings in Finnish and using only the trochaic tetrameter (the meter of Finnish national epic Kalevala) to translate all the poetry.
