1 teaspoon finely ground cumin
1 teaspoon finely ground ginger
black pepper
3-4 tablespoons of olive oil
salt

depends on how you're preparing them. And do you mean chicken legs or the upper part of the chicken wing.
If you're just frying them then buttermilk is the best marinade. The buttermilk does some wonderful things to the chicken.
my favorite chicken marinade, or favorite marinade is soy sauce, garlic, orange juice or pineapple juice, ginger and some brown sugar.

It's 09:00 and I'm hungry and in pajamas. I should go to the kitchen. But people have been partying loudly outside for three hours, fully dressed. I would get questioned. But I barely ate yesterday. I only have got a beer here, and I'm not an usual drinker, and it's not cold. I hate this situation. I hope they don't stay there until lunch time. I would get questioned. I. Need. To. Eat. AGH

the first time was a bit tricky but it's actually easier than you'd think!
well, in my makis I usually have rice, philadelphia, raw salmon, cucumber, avocado and carrot strips. I've put in egg a couple of times too and it was ok.

I have always disliked carrots, unless cooked with butter and sugar basically candying them. But that makes them not too healthy. I do add them to my roasts.haha, I can understand people who don't like raw salmon... but dude, carrots? carrots are awesome! I usually boil 'em, mash 'em or stick 'em in a stew.

the firm tofu marinated in soy and something sweet gives a nice texture, even adding a piece of fried tofu works.
I am good friends with a Chinese lady who taught me to eat various chinese, and other oriental foods. She got me to try things I was reluctant, but raw fish(you can get mad fish disease, a form of mad cow disease) is where I drew the line but she did get me to try vegatarian oriental dishes and I was so suprised at the wonderful tastes and textures. She even knew how to prepare what Americans call sushi. She was a great neighbor. Chinese is my favorite of the oriental/asian cuisines, then Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean. Japanese isn't as high on the list.

I've become a fan of sushi in the last few years, and become a regular consumer of it in the past few months. Our local Chinese restaurant carries sushi, and their Philadelphia roll -- with salmon and cream cheese -- isn't too bad. It's a very...interesting combination having cream cheese and raw fish in the same mouthful. It's not something I would eat all the time. I prefer their Boston roll, with shrimp, crab salad, avocado, and tobiko. I'm used to raw salmon to a degree because my mother prefers to undercook it instead of overcooking it.
It's not like people are making sushi from trout or bass that they just caught in a lake. Now THAT would be nasty.

could you recommend me a nice chinese dish? when someone says chinese food all I can think of is greasy deep fried stuff, noodles, sweet&sour sauce and rude waiters.
Chinese is my favorite of the oriental/asian cuisines, then Vietnamese, Thai, and Korean. Japanese isn't as high on the list.

M'am I have no idea where you are from, but I know several place in Little Rock where you can get delicious Chinese food, with polite waiters(often Chinese waiters speak little English which gives the appearance of rude but they are not). As a life long fan of Chinese food I tend to avoid buffets, though buffets are the way to go for the uninitiated. It allows you to sample and challange your taste buds.
My favorite place in LR would stand up to my favorite place in San Francisco or Boston or any other big city that has a Chinatown. People say well it's not real Chinese food, but of course they are quite wrong. The styles of Chinese cooking are quite adaptable and take advantage of local foods.
Since you don't like greasy deep fried foods you've clearly eaten at some place that doesn't know how to deep fry. Properly done deep fried should never be greasy. I'd suggest something stir fried then, a delicious Mongolian beef or Hunan beef. A spicy Twice Cooked Pork, and some exceptional Hot and Sour soup. It's such a wonderful soup but so many places simple go so cheap on making it that it just isn't good at all. Now I've had some vegatarian dishes with deep fried tofu but at first taste I didn't know I wasn't eating meat.
In Fort Smith, Arkansas there are numerous great Vietnamese restaurant because that's were the bulk of the boat people ended up. Some of their dishes have figuratively set me on fire. You know I'm enjoying it when the top of my head turns red and the sweat is pouring off me.

now that I think about it, I've only eaten chinese food at shabby buffets... guess I'll have to check out a chinatown when I'm in the us and hope to be proven wrong:) thanks!

Hot and sour soup is great. It kicks the pants off of wonton, which is just a big bowl of broth and one or two lousy noodles.

it would be best to try a chinese sit down restaurant and eat family style. Still find a place with great eggrolls or spring rolls, or come to my house. I make better egg rolls than any restaurant within 50 miles.now that I think about it, I've only eaten chinese food at shabby buffets... guess I'll have to check out a chinatown when I'm in the us and hope to be proven wrong:) thanks!

Sushi is my favorite food. Never had any with cream cheese in it, though. That doesn't sound legit. I do enjoy a couple slices of smoked salmon on my bagel and cream cheese, however.
In 50 years Herrmann will be forgotten.

lobster rolls with cream cheese and avacado is pretty good, but sushi doesn't hold a candle to great Chinese food, and as I said mad fish disease is too real to risk eating raw fish. Sushi is one of the safest foods there is. As long as you're not buying it prepackaged from grocery stores or gas stations, you'll be fine. I've never gotten sick from sushi or sashimi, and have definitely had bad bowel movements from food that's supposed to be cooked.
In 50 years Herrmann will be forgotten.
