For me, I'll be more than happy if it matches The Last Crusade.

This is satisfactory for me. I'll be happy if it is more in RotLA vein than LC.

I'm optimistic. It took 15 years to come up with a story for Indy IV. Just how long did it take them to come up with the stories for Raiders, Temple of Doom and The Last Crusade?

If its as good as LC then I will be very disappointed.

If its in between the quality of TOD and LC then I will be ok. I just want a good JW score more than anything.
OH God, Joe is posting again, someone hand me my pills!

"You're not John Conner, I saw you die, said Kyle". "I was only injured, replied John". "No, your injuries were too severe, you died. Look at you, where are your injuries? You're, you're a Terminator." "Kyle, its still me, yes my body was beyond repair, but my essence is here." He points to his head. "No John". Kyle raised his pulse rifle and aimed it at John but before he could fire, John fired first. Knocked to the ground Kyle looked up at the Terminator in the form of the man he once idolized. All hope was lost. "If you kill me how will you ever be born?" "Thats a good question Kyle, all this time we've focus on Sarah, on John, when had we known the it was you we should have targeted all along." John pointed his rifle at Kyle's face. "The resistance is finished, the battle is won. We the machines are the victors, salvation is ours." Kyle never heard the second shot.

At least you wouldn't be able to call it the Least Crusade anymore. ;)

Well, I like National Treasure, Narnia and the Star Wars prequels for the most part. So, I won't be that hard to please.

Even if it's not as 'good' as Crusade I'm confident I'll still enjoy it. Quite a bit even.

Film: If it isn't too reliant on humor like LC was
Score: Exciting action cues and not dull rhythmic repetition like a lot of his recent action cues

I REALLY REALLY hope Indy and Marion don't get married at the end of the movie and then settle down somewhere...

It would be a typical Spielberg ending, but I sincerely hope not!

Just as long as Tommy Lee Jones doesn't come up to Indy at the end and ask him if he'd like to work for a secret agency...............

I just want it to be good, nothing will ever come close to Raiders.

But honestly I agree with Joe, I want a good Williams score more than anything.

I think you are going to be dissapointed.

Lush Marion's theme finale, etc...

Plus Indy has have to had a daughter, and those do not come with storks.

Hahaha what? I knew from the moment that Karen Allen was announced as a cast member that Indy and Marion would get back together, but marrying and settling down somewhere? That's, uh... not what I'd expect of Spielberg.

And another thing. He has to use his whip more than twice. He only used it twice in Crusade. But from the looks of the previews I don't think that will be a problem.

And if you stay after the end credits you'll see Indy leave the ship years later. He looks up and says "oh I'm in Wyoming" as Richard Dreyfuss walks by the camera.

Then Samual Jackson walks up to him and asks him if he wants to join S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marrying and settling down is maybe an exaggeration, but at the end of each Indy movie except TLC, Indy gets the girl.

Now, if Indy gets Marion a second time, I feel more should happen than going for an after-work drink . . .

Does anybody else want to see Indy get it on with Irina Spalko??? :jump:

Good. Not better than any of the other films, or scores for that matter. Just a good Indy movie.
Do you like John Williams? His early work was a little too jazzy for my taste, but when Jaws came out in '75 I really think he came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and an air of consummate professionalism that really gives the pieces a big boost. He's been compared to Jerry Goldsmith but I think John has a far more leitmotif-driven style of composing. In '82 John composed this, E.T., his most accomplished album to date. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "The Magic of Halloween", a theme so catchy most people don't listen to what it means. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of childhood and the importance of friendship, it's also a personal statement about the man himself. Hey Paul!

I'm gonna take a gamble and say most member's definition of good would be a film that falls in between Raiders TOD and LC as far as quality goes. Anything worse than LC is a failure in my book

For me it has to be a fun, upbeat adventure. I'm not that hard to please, as long as it isn't too bad. There seems to be some things taken from the Saucer Men from Mars script that they put into this film as well that I'm not entirely pleased with (
Spoiler
) and the notion that
Spoiler
also don't sound all that great to me. However, those are just rumours and there's a good chance that at least some of those don't turn out to be true. Still, the trailers have already proved to me that there'll be a lot to like in this film and so have the sound clips for the score. It seems that they took some general ideas from Saucer Men from Mars and greatly improved on it. That is a very good thing as far as I'm concerned. Saucer Men from Mars would've made for an Indy film I would never want to see, but it seems that KotCS will be much, much better than that. I've been looking forward to this film for ages and I'm pretty optimistic.

Why are they so well dressed up, even the greaser?

BTW what i said about indy's daughter is unlikely. I dont think marion could (or should..) have babies at her late 40s early 50s.
