Brink: I don't care if you have to cut off my hand, just don't leave me to die here!
Maggie Robbins: Don't be so dramatic Brink; nobody is going to cut off your hand.
Boston Low: Don't make promises you might not be able to keep Maggie

That would be me. I've never listened to a Williams score that wasn't part of one of these franchises. And I don't care.Williams fans who don't care about anything beyond Star Wars, Superman, Harry Potter and Spielberg sci-fi/genre.
In fact, aside from when I actually watched the movies, the only soundtracks of William's I have listened to are from SW, Potter, and Indy.

That is actually... very sad. You miss a lot of incredible music.

But that is an informed opinion after countless hours of listening. Also that Williams non celebratory fanfare concert music isn't very good.

The vast majority of Williams' best scores do fall in that category. While I own every post 1970 Williams album ever released ,I would define myself as "who cares more" about SW,Superman ,Harry Potter and Spielberg adventure genre

It's wonderful that you do not care. I have an area on my mantle I'd love to place you on. No, second thoughts I'll give you to my dog. No wait, the junkyard would be the perfect place actually. My dog doesn't need crap in his teeth after all. That would be me. I've never listened to a Williams score that wasn't part of one of these franchises. And I don't care.

8 Oscars for Meh scores and songs, where maybe only one of each was deserving.

Menken deserved all the Oscars he won (except 1990 and 1992, when Hook and LC should've won), plus one for The Hunchback of Notre Dame. JW deserved waaaay more than 8, so it is unfair that Menken has more Oscars than JW, but he definetly deserves them all.So whats wrong with Mr Menken then?'Course, Alan Menken defenders, that is a different matter altogether...

Ennio Morricone blows Menken out of the water, yet he never received a single Oscar for one of his many many film scores. In contrast, Alan Menken has lots of Oscars, but that doesn't automatically mean I should dislike the man and his work, because that would be stupid and pointless. Pfft... there is no need to defend the man in the first place.
