Still waiting on my copy of the Poseidon Adventure. It's shipped which is a good thing because Walmart has sold out.
OH God, Joe is posting again, someone hand me my pills!

"You're not John Conner, I saw you die, said Kyle". "I was only injured, replied John". "No, your injuries were too severe, you died. Look at you, where are your injuries? You're, you're a Terminator." "Kyle, its still me, yes my body was beyond repair, but my essence is here." He points to his head. "No John". Kyle raised his pulse rifle and aimed it at John but before he could fire, John fired first. Knocked to the ground Kyle looked up at the Terminator in the form of the man he once idolized. All hope was lost. "If you kill me how will you ever be born?" "Thats a good question Kyle, all this time we've focus on Sarah, on John, when had we known the it was you we should have targeted all along." John pointed his rifle at Kyle's face. "The resistance is finished, the battle is won. We the machines are the victors, salvation is ours." Kyle never heard the second shot.

Why? Because you love it? According to that logic, do you hate everything I like?

Hey, hey, I'm not Quint, so don't you assault me, because I won't play nice as he does!

I didn't say you're gonna it hate because I love it, nor that I hate everything you like (in fact, I don't even know what you like! Well, apart from Blade Runner... And The Prestige. You like The Prestige, right?)

No, I just said that because, from what my sources told me, you're someone who likes atmospheric films. What you're primarily looking for in a film isan interesting mood, rather than interesting characters or story. GoT is more about characters and story than atmosphere. Hence why I said that. I maybe wrong, I may be right, but what is certain is that I had the right to say what I said, because I live in a democracy, and people died in order for me to say whatever I want to say in a internet forum. You wouldn't want them to have died for nothing, Cremers, would you?

I seriously doubt you'd love Tintin.

hehehe!

Have you forgotten that I also like The Tudors, Bloodboal?! Yes, that's right, I like a little death, betrayal, sex and intrigue in my TV shows. My only hope is that GOT is not about kiddie stuff such as dragons, magic wands and explosions.

Ah, my bad! I forgot about that! Well, then perhaps you will like it, indeed. There are some storylines, though, that I'm sure you won't like (that Daenerys girl... Trust me, you will learn to hate her). But since you've got the blu-ray, you can still use the fast forward button.

My only hope is that GOT is not about kiddie stuff such as dragons, magic wands and explosions.

There are no magic wands in GoT, but there are explosions. Sexual explosions, that is. And dragons. But for the moment, they're aren't really active. They're just... there.

The only fantasy aspects of GoT are the locales and the wildlife. Everything else about it is refreshingly real and authentic. That's why I watch it - I normally can't STAND tv fantasy, and even most movie stuff.

BloodBoal, relax - Alex will be the consummate GoT convert once he's viewed the penultimate episode ;)

I picked up Patton, probably should have gotten Tora Tora Tora but since I'm on vacation next week I am saving for it.

Don't think anyone mentioned this, but on the upcoming release of Father of the Bride/Father of the Bride Part 2 BluRay, it lists Alan Silvestri's "Original Score Soundtrack" in the bonus features for just the first film. I wonder if it means an album-like presentation or an actual isolated score? Interesting.

Didn't even realise Ridley did a director's cut for Alien. Is it better than the theatrical? I've not seen the first movie in years, I want to maximise the enjoyment.

Ridley Scott says the theatrical cut is the true DC. I never bothered to watch the so-called DC (which was 'commissioned' by Fox for commercial reasons, if I recall and understand correctly). It's a slightly tighter cut and includes the Dallas cocoon scene (which I don't care for).

BTW, the cover of that box ... can we say it spoils it a little for people who are not familiar with the Alien franchise? Why show the monster? It takes away some of the mystery and thus some of the suspense.

I know what people are thinking, who's not familiar with the Alien franchise? Even then, the first movie is very sparse with showing the monster. Personally, I would respect that principle.
